    Tottenham v Bournemouth (14:00 GMT)

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraolo speaking to Sky Sports:

"It's good to have good results but we know we have to improve and we have to compete against Spurs. They have a lot of offensive power and we have to be ready to give our best level to compete here.

"It has to be similar [to Man Utd game], they are scoring a lot of goals especially at home. We have to be very good defensively and trust our players when we have chances. It could be quite an open game you never know but there are going to be goals.

"We have improved a lot, we started really bad and the last games have been really good. Our level is somewhere in the middle and we have to keep consistent and adding things to the team and keep adding things to the last games."

On changes: "You have to take difficult decisions, everyone is performing well. We decided to go with Lewis [Cook] but we have good players on the bench. I know the game will be open so I think it's important to keep some players fresh for the second half."

My football moment of 2023 is easily my mighty Hammers lifting a trophy. I wasn't born the last time we did it, and it felt like a dream watching Jarrod running through and scoring in the dying moments to win the final. It will live with me forever.

    WLWWDWWWW.

That is Bournemouth's last nine games in the Premier League games.

Andoni Iraola's side have taken 22 points from the 27 available and currently sit 12th, 10 points clear of the relegation zone.

They have beat Man Utd and Newcastle and taken a point off Aston Villa in that time. Can they claim another scalp today?

My footballing moment of 2023 happened over this Christmas period. My daughter, who started football this year, managed to trap a ball from a pass and stay on her feet, after every previous attempt ending less elegantly. She is 22 months.

  8. 'Progress only good if it continues'published at 13:12 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2023

    Tottenham v Bournemouth (14:00 GMT)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou talking to Sky Sports: "We have started to make progress, but that is only good if it continues. We are going through a tough spell, certainly in terms of player amiability but in the main our performances have been strong."

On the plus of having Rodrigo Bentancur back: "It is super. He's had a good training week and we had a good chat with him yesterday and he's keen to get back. All of the injured lads are a bit frustrated. Having fresh legs with him and Gio [Giovani Lo Celso] in the middle will help us."

On Bournemouth: "They have been good for a while. We played Everton here last game and they were similar. We know it is going to be a challenge but that is the Premier League. Every game is an opportunity to stumble. We're going to have to be at our best to get a result."

  14. How it stands...published at 12:55 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2023

    Premier League top half

Saturday's results - yes, yesterday was a Saturday - left Aston Villa level on points with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.

Arsenal have dropped to fourth, below Manchester City too, but can retake first place with a victory at Craven Cottage today.

Tottenham will finish the year fifth regardless of the result today but a win against Bournemouth would keep them in touch of the top four.

The Cherries and to a lesser extent Fulham are both looking up rather than down as they look to end the year on a high.
