    Defeats for second-from-bottom Sheffield Wednesday and strugglers Millwall leaves them labouring away near the bottom.

    A point for QPR against Plymouth has got them to within a point of getting out of the bottom three.

    Wayne Rooney's Birmingham City have done themselves a world of good with victory at Cardiff.

    Leicester City 's victory against Millwall means they have become the fast Championship side to get to 52 points!

    And that record-setting effort is enough to only edge them one point clear of second-placed Ipswich Town. They are both enjoying incredible form right now.

    Middlesbrough 1-2 Hull

    Hull City end their two-game losing run and extend Middlesbrough's to three games thanks to a brilliant goalkeeping display from Ryan Allsop and a fightback led by goals from Liam Delap and Ozan Tufan.

    Middlesbrough had earlier led through Emmanuel Latte Lath's early strike, but could not hold on and Hull punished them.

    The home side had plenty of chances, but this leaves them short of the promotion mix-up, while Hull soar to within goal difference of the top six.

    Norwich 3-1 Sheff Wed

    Borja Sainz marked his first start for Norwich with a goal and assist at Carrow Road.

    He opened the scoring early on and then teed Ashley Barnes up to restore their lead against lowly Sheffield Wednesday after the break.

    Jonathan Rowe completed the win, which sends the Canaries up to 11th in the table.

    QPR 0-0 Plymouth

    It's a huge point on the road for Plymouth, having had to play more than 65 minutes with just 10 men.

    QPR, who could have moved out of the bottom three with victory, are now just one point adrift of safety.

    Plymouth, who had Dan Scarr sent off in the first half, maintain their three point cushion over the Hoops.

    Birmingham and Wayne Rooney end a miserable away run which has seen eight games without success end at Cardiff thanks to a superb goal from Juninho Bacuna.

    Cardiff failed to get the requisite chances to beat John Ruddy who keeps a morale-boosting clean sheet.

    It was a win which showed some real character and belief from Birmingham, and it's a rare home set-back for Erol Bulut's Cardiff.

    Point apiece keeps both sides on an upward trajectory, as Samuel Edozie levelled for Southampton against Coventry, who had taken the lead through Haji Wright.

    Leicester hold on to beat Millwall and soar back to the top of the table.

    The Foxes were made to work hard as they fought back from a goal down to overcome the the Lions.

    Early second-half goals from Jannik Vestergaard and Patson Daka, and a third from Ricardo Pereira proves to be enough to move them back above Ipswich.

    Massive goal for Hull, who have come from behind to lead on Teesside.

    It was a goal made down the left by Ruben Vinagre with scorching pace to round Anfernee Dijksteel and the ball in.

    Dan Barlaser gets a foot to it for Boro but only sending it to Greg Doherty, who set it back for Ozan Tufan and the Turkey schemer arrowed a beauty past Seny Dieng.

    Superb goal.

    It will be a nervy last few minutes of added time for Leicester at the King Power Stadium now that Kevin Nisbet has pulled a goal back for Millwall.

    The Foxes defence completely switches off from a corner, and Nisbet crashes home his header.
