It’s Kai HAVERTZ!!!! GET IN! Knew it was his time! Don’t deserve it but he has done it!

As a sub, when you come onto the pitch it's about making an impact. Havertz has certainly done that. They have been so patient with their play and there was that one bit of quality from Saka. Havertz peeled off to the back post and squeezed it through Flekken's legs. You probably have to say Arsenal deserved that. They have just edged it for me here.

    The winner?

Arsenal substitute Kai Havertz heads in at the back post from Bukayo Saka's cross. It goes through goalkeeper Mark Flekken's legs.

That is surely the goal that sends Arsenal top of the Premier League.

Neither team deserve to win this really. Brentford hack the ball away.

    Brentford 0-0 Arsenal

    Steve Sidwell
Former Arsenal and Brentford midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Nketiah chose the wrong option there. He went for the Thierry Henry curled shot with the inside of his right foot. He should really have fed Saka who was just peeling off. He has the quality to do that.

    Brentford 0-0 Arsenal

    Steve Sidwell

It comes out to the edge of the box and it is bobbling up. There wasn't too much real quality in it and Flekken had it covered. He dived for the cameras.

Chance for Arsenal to win it... but Eddie Nketiah basically passes the ball to Mark Flekken. A bit harsh maybe but it needed more power. And accuracy.

Top class defending from Zinchenko saving us from going behind. We have not been good today. We’ve been awful if we are being honest apart from an offside goal that was rightly given offside.

Woof. A cross is cleared out to William Saliba, who lets it bounce and smacks a 25-yard half-volley which sails wide. Was never going in really.

    Brentford 0-0 Arsenal

    Steve Sidwell
Former Arsenal and Brentford midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was Zinchenko there on the line who blocked it. Again, Brentford really putting the pressure on Arsenal. I think it was Maupay who headed it and Ramsdale was beaten, but Zinchenko did superbly to get there and stop it.
