The free-kick is just about dealt with by Barcelona but Real Sociedad come back at them and there are a couple of risky challenges with the ball up the air inside the box.

That means Mendez will miss Realk Sociedad's next league game.

Pedri and Ferran Torres are out warming up with the vigour of players who know they'll be coming on before too long.

Perhaps that has helped fire up the Barcelona players on the pitch, they've shown far more energy and aggression in the first couple of minutes of this half than we saw for much of the first 45.

They're back under way at Reale Arena.

Real Sociedad will want more of the same, just with a bit more ruthlessness in the final third.

However, they'll know Barcelona can't possibly be as bad as they were in the first half.

Barcelona might not be happy about that non-penalty award but given the way that first half went, they must be delighted not to be a goal or two behind.

That's because they're convinced they should have had a penalty right at the end of the half.

Joao Felix went down under the challenge of Igor Zubeldia but the referee isn't interested, he thinks the attacker initiated the contact.

Real Sociedad look like they might be tiring a little at the end of the half, allowing Barcelona a rare spell of possession in the opposition half.

However, Mikel Oyarzabal is able to pull in a loose ball, hold it up and win a free-kick to give his side a breather.

I've lost count of the number of times Barcelona have lost the ball around the centre circle and a Real Sociedad player has been able to carry the ball right up to the edge of the box.

They've yet to make it count, though, and as half-time approaches, they'll be hoping that they aren't left to rue these missed chances - as well as the countless chances to create chances that have gone begging.
