Lee Bell's team are pressing high and defended well as Rams goalscorer Tom Barkuizen flashed a dangerous ball across the area.
Doncaster thought they might have been level at 1-1 against fellow League Two side Accrington, but they were denied by a terrific save from a Jack Nolan free-kick.

They had this one as good as sewn up after 10 minutes.
Nicky Cadden made it 1-0 inside three minutes and John McAtee, a quarter-finalist in this competition with Grimsby last season, quickly made it two.
The Luton loanee then chipped in a fabulous third to put the tie beyond the seventh-tier side after 27 minutes.
The Hornets have looked neat and tidy in possession but haven't really carved out an opportunity of note and, in front of a ground-record attendance, will hope to give their fans something to cheer in the second half.

Half an hour in and Forest Green cruise into a 3-0 lead.
Troy Deeney wins a free-kick for the hosts, Fantaky Dabo crosses the ball into the box and Jamie Robson diverts it in the net from a few yards out.

Both of these sides came into this game off the back of defeats at the weekend.
Barnsley went down to a 3-0 loss at Derby while Horsham slipped to a 2-0 reverse at home to Hashtag United.
The Sussex side are mid-table in the Isthmian Premier Division, but do have as many as four games in hand on some of the teams above them because of their FA Cup exploits.
Their opponents tonight are sixth in League One and have scored a joint league high 31 goals.
They're showing their quality so far tonight.

Horsham skipper Danny Barker is in the book for clearing out Herbie Kane as he sent the ball up the field for the away side.
That came at the end of a bit of concerted pressure from the home side but they weren't able to create a chance with it.
