As always, we would love to hear your thoughts on today's action.

Who's going to win this year's title, and who's going down?

On a different tack, the director of ITV Sport this week suggested WSL games should be shown live during the Saturday afternoon blackout.

Do you reckon that's a good idea? Let us know your views and the reasons behind them.

Katie Zelem's dead-ball wizardry is not the only reason Bristol City should fear set-plays this afternoon.

Excluding penalties, Manchester United have scored more set-piece goals than any other side in the WSL this season (5), while the Robins have conceded the most such goals this term (7).

  3. 'Bristol City are aggressive, calculated and well coached'published at 12:25 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2023

Bristol City v Man Utd (12:30 GMT)

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Marc Skinner, speaking to the BBC before the game on the two changes: "When we looked at the Manchester City game we picked for the game plan and obviously today we are looking at how we can adapt around a Bristol City team who might sit in the block.

"We are trying to build a strategy and pull them into spaces where we can exploit them. It is important we deny their counter-attacks."

On Bristol City being bottom of the WSL: "That means nothing - they are aggressive, calculated and well coached. Their block is hard to beat; if you are impatient, they will hurt you. We have to be mature in our performance."

  4. 'Robins will have to show resilience'published at 12:23 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2023

We can expect Bristol City to be really disciplined and dig deep today. They have to stay compact, they're probably going to be in a back five.

We've seen them get a good result against Everton recently, a 2-2 draw where they came back twice from being behind. They'll have to show that resilience today against Man Utd.

  5. 'Man Utd have a ruthless frontline'published at 12:21 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2023

Bristol City v Man Utd (12:30 GMT)

Bristol City manager Lauren Smith, speaking to BBC Sport before the game: "The squad we put out that day [last week against Everton] really performed to the game plan and finished really strongly in the game.

"Everyone has got through the week well. It is a good opportunity to put in that performance against Manchester United."

On improvements: "We have to be critical of ourselves that we keep the clean sheet for longer in the game. It shows we have plenty of fight [coming back twice last week to draw]. We have to tweak those things and then it comes out as wins."

On Manchester United: "They are a really good team and the bench is very aggressive - they have different types of attackers and that is the thing we have to focus on. They have a ruthless frontline."

On a possible record crowd at Ashton Gate: "It is brilliant. Our fans are excellent and hopefully we can put a good performance in."

  10. 'We have to make those points up'published at 12:10 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2023

Bristol City v Man Utd (12:30 GMT)

In pushing Chelsea all the way in the WSL title race last season, Manchester United dropped just 10 points in the 2022-23 league campaign.

This season, they have dropped nine already with three draws in their first six games before losing the Manchester derby 3-1 to City at Old Trafford on Sunday.

It leaves Mark Skinner's side already facing must-win games to keep up with Chelsea, starting away to Bristol City today.

"That's the nature of a competitive league - we have only lost three games since the start of last season," Skinner said. "We've had too many draws, but that is a ridiculous stat.

"From our aspect, we don't want to drop points, but barring Man City and parts of Arsenal [their 2-2 draw at Leigh Sports Village in October], we have outperformed our opponents.

"We have to make those points up. But now we have to focus on Bristol, and not think about other points."

It's a big game at both ends of the table to kick off Sunday's WSL programme.

Manchester United are looking to bounce back from last weekend's disappointing derby defeat to their city rivals and ensure the teams above them do not move too far off into the distance.

Bristol City, meanwhile, seek to build on a haul of four points from their past three games, knowing a win will ensure they'll end the day off the foot of the table. A draw could suffice too if other results go their way.

Anyone else know what that phrase means?

Neither did I - but I searched it and it means something that is in tip-top condition.

Just like plenty of the players we'll be seeing in action in the Women's Super League today - starting with Manchester United's trip to bottom side Bristol City at Ashton Gate, which is live on the BBC.

That kicks off a packed programme today so let's get things started.
