It allows Alex Robertson to let fly from the right-hand side of the penalty area and it's blocked away for a corner.

Ian Evatt decides that he needs to changes things here for Bolton.

And he's making a triple change.

Kyle Dempsey, Jack Iredale and Aaron Morley all come on for the visitors.

Meanehwile Abu Kamara has only come back on briefly before going down again and Portsmouth are also forced into a change.

Abu Kamara gets into a bit of a tangle loosely chasing a clearance down the left.

He's taken a knock and stays down for a while.

But he's gingerly back to his feet and may be able to continue here for Portsmouth.

They work it nicely up the right and into George Thomason just inside the area but he's quickly tackled.

The visitors come again and feed Jon Dadi Bodvarsson at the near post but he can't get the ball out of his feet and he pokes the ball well wide.

Good movement by Dion Charles.

He had his fewest touches of the season in that first-half, he needs to get involved more.

Bolton give the ball away cheaply 30 yards from their own goal and Marlon Pack is slipped into the left side of the area.

He wastes his best chance to shoot and goes up the left towards the byline.

Ricardo Santos does just enough to shepherd the ball into touch for Bolton - and to avoid handling the ball too.

Then a left-foot shot from Paddy Lane at the top of the area but too close to Nathan Baxter down to his left.

Portsmouth hunting a second.

A pretty phenomenal stat is that when Portsmouth have led at half-time in their last 89 games, they have not lost!

March 2018 was the last time they let a lead at the break go and left with nothing in a league game.

I keep saying it, the referee's had a great game.

An early move for Pompey down the left and they get it into Kusini Yengi's feet.

He turns and shoots on a tight angle and forces Nathan Baxter into a low but comfortable save at his near post for Bolton.

Away we go again at Fratton Park.

Both number nines have missed really good chances.

Dion Charles, really unlike him, just snatched at it with the goal gaping I don't know how he missed.

He is a confidence boy, so it will be really interesting to see how he comes out in the second half.

It looked like a boy out of the playground, Dion Charles missing that chance and that is no disrespect to a boy in the playground.

He will be ruing that, was such an easy opportunity.

I cannot believe he missed that chance, and Portsmouth have made them pay.

Pompey strike just before the break in a great half.

This has lived up to its billing so far with chances at either end.

Dion Charles somehow put a tap-in wide for Bolton before Kusini Yengi saw his shot half-saved then cleared off the line for the hosts.

But Conor Shaughnessy has broken the deadlock and the League One leaders lead at the break.

A delicious delivery nipped in at the near post and Portsmouth strike first in first-half stoppage time.

Unfortunately it came from that corner after that push in the back, Randell Williams is still berating the referee.

A ball into Kusini Yengi for Portsmouth at the top of the area.

He wriggles away from his marker and gets a right-foot shot away.

It squrims under the goalkeeper's legs and rolls agonisingly towards the line.

But Gethin Jones is back first to hook off the line!

First of all from Nathan Baxter who deserves a lot of credit, but then scrambled off the line by Gethin Jones, another let off for Bolton.

Portsmouth should have scored.

Bolton work it nicely down the right and have Gethin Jones overlapping towards the dead ball line.

But he massively overhits his cross and his long run is worth nothing.
