What a miss that is by Dion Charles.

Wonderful work by Maghoma, even better save by the Portsmouth 'keeper.

But somehow then inexplicably Charles has stabbed the rebound wide with the goal gaping.

It was an absolute given.

Bolton have it down the right and it's crossed for Jon Dadi Bodvarsson at the far post.

His header produces a wonderful save from Will Norris in the Pompey goal.

The rebound falls for Dion Charles in front of an empty net - but he somehow scuffs it wide!

Kusini Yengi slipped into the area.

He drives towards the right-hand post and cuts back past the last defender.

But he decides to pass across goal and Bolton are back in just enough numbers to clear!

Both clubs have a lot of respect for each other as have both had big budgets and competed with the big boys.

They are two mammoth clubs in this division.

But due to mismanagement find themselves in the doldrums and playing each other in League One.

After a wobbly first couple of minutes it's been the visitors who have taken control of the game.

They've got their passing game going very well and have threatened down both flanks so far.

Very little for Portmouth going forward in this opening 20 minutes.

But then Paris Maghoma goes on a mazy run in from the right, all the way into the area past four defenders.

He opens his right foot up to shoot but hits it straight at a defender.

Another good passing move from Bolton Wanderers.

Wanderers were a whisker away there.

Josh Sheehan carrying the ball out of his own area for Bolton and Alex Robertson goes lunging in on him and catches him, quite nastily.

Dion Charles with the first foray forward for Bolton and he's hauled down trying to skip up the right wing.

The free-kick towards the top of the area bounces over everyone though and comes to nothing.

Bolton give the ball away cheaply in their own half and from the resulting throw, a silly foul is given away near the right corner.

The set pieces comes in left-footed but not the best delivery and Wanderers clear.
