He heads it behind just to be safe but thankfully they deal with the corner very comfortably.

West Ham clear their lines again but only to Gustavo Hamer outside the box.

He scuffs a volley and it falls to Andre Brooks. He skies it miles over.

I didn't know Jack Robinson had a long throw like that. It reminded me of Rory Delap.

Gustavo Hamer takes it but Emerson blocks it on the edge of the wall. It flies out for a throw-in which Jack Robinson launches in.

Pablo Fornals heads it away for another throw-in.

William Osula is caught late by Kurt Zouma right on the edge of the box. Decent free-kick position for Sheffield United...

James Ward-Prowse whips in a free-kick inside Sheffield United's half but Kurt Zouma's header lacks power.

A few seconds later, Vinicius Souza's pass to Anel Ahmedhodzic is short and West Ham win it back.

Jarrod Bowen has it in the box but drags it wide of the far post. Big chance!

Foderingham comes and he's flapping his leg. I think that's a golden opportunity for Danny Ings.

First bit of action from West Ham.

Tomas Soucek flicks on a throw-in and Danny Ings gets a toe to it, beating goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

He can only poke it wide though while he's off balance but Soucek wanted a penalty for a nudge on Ings. The officials aren't interested.

West Ham haven't got going at all yet but Sheffield United look confident.

They are knocking it around well and moving through the gears.

Vinicius Souza has space to shoot on the edge of the box and Alphonse Areola has to be alert.

A strike from long-range by Gustavo Hamer but it sails harmlessly wide. Alphonse Areola wasn't troubled by it at all.

West Ham lose the ball high up and Sheffield United break well down the right, where they have found a lot of space so far.

William Osula curls it in early but it's way over the head of Brereton Diaz.

It's a good start from Sheffield United. I think Bogle and McAtee could cause a lot of problems down that right hand side.

This has been a bright start by Sheffield United.

William Osula's pass won't quite reach James McAtee though as Emerson mops up at the back for West Ham.

I like Emerson, I think he's been a brilliant signing for West Ham at left-back. I think he's been outstanding.

First spell of possession for West Ham ends up being wasteful as Maxwel Cornet is offside when it's lifted over the top to him.

Andre Brooks gets off to a good start, carrying the ball into West Ham's half with a direct run down the left.

He wins a throw-in which Jack Robinson will launch into the mixer.
