There's no question that the Kirkcaldy side are the ones that have had the better of the game so far.

James McPake will be happy it's only 1-0. Dunfermline have to calm down, be more composed, and chances will present themselves.

It's all about that maverick in the Rovers midfield, Dylan Easton.

He picks it up on the edge of the box and just ghosts past Moffat. The turn of pace to drive into the box, and there's Hamilton with a neat finish.

    Wonderful stuff from Dylan Easton.

He picks up the ball with several Dunfermline defenders in front of him, but he only has eyes for goal.

A lovely little drop of the shoulder, and then a wee stepover puts him through and he puts it on a plate for Jack Hamilton to tap home from close range.

"Some changes are forced, some aren't. It's tough - you just have to look at our numbers on the bench.

"Anything can happen. Dunfermline are a good team, play with real width. I enjoy watching them.

"We're trying to go under the radar, but we're really happy with where we are. We have to keep it going.

"We have to be [ready for extra-time]."

    Dunfermline v Raith Rovers (19:45)

Dunfermline manager James McPake tells BBC Scotland: "When a derby comes around it's always an exciting one.

"Two teams that are going ok, but it all goes out of the window on Scottish Cup weekend.

"It's the fourth time we've played them [this season], so both teams know plenty about each other. It's a big occasion, a special competition.

"Both teams will come out and have a go, so we're excited."

It is no secret that former Prime Minister Gordon Brown has had a long association with Raith Rovers, and he has revealed to BBC Scotland that he would have loved to manage the Kirkcaldy club.

"When you're a kid, you dream of playing for your local team," Brown told BBC Scotland. "I've been a shareholder and I started off here as a programme seller.

"I'd love to have been manager of Raith Rovers, [but] I'm not the expert that other people are."

  19. Pars out to regain bragging rightspublished at 19:30 Greenwich Mean Time 24 November 2023

Dunfermline Athletic v Raith Rovers (19:45)

It may only be November, but tonight's clash is the fourth meeting of the Fife rivals this season.

The sides met in the group stages of the Viaplay Cup, a 1-1 draw with the Pars winning the penalty shootout for a bonus point.

However, Rovers exacted revenge over the next two Championship games - winning 1-0 home and away.

Sam Stanton has been something of a scourge for Dunfermline, scoring the only goal in both league encounters, including a 90th-minute winner last month.

Their last Scottish Cup meeting came in early 2019, when the Kirkcaldy side won 3-0 at Stark's Park.
