As we've alluded to a couple of times tonight, this has been a campaign blighted by Scotland failing to make the most when they're on top.

They've certainly been the better side tonight. There's got to be belief that our lot can finally get themselves a win in this competition.

Any time Belgium’s number 9, captain, Tessa Wullaert, touches the ball, the noise level amplifies in Den Dreef.

A big player for the Belgian side, clearly, but let’s hope the stands and the Red Flames are kept quiet for the second-half!

For those unaware, a silent Amy is truly unheard of.

Erin Cuthbert once again makes the impossible possible.

Right Sean, I know you'll find this hard to believe, but Chloe will verify... Erin Cuthbert's strike stunned me into silence.

    That's how good it was.

  5. HALF-TIME Belgium 1-1 Scotlandpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2023

Scotland go into the interval on level terms thanks to a stunner from Erin Cuthbert.

It looked as though their positive play was again for naught when Marie Detruyer fired the hosts in front, but Chelsea's midfield maestro blootered Scotland back into the game.

Right, how many times can I re-watch the equaliser in 15 minutes?

Kirsty MacLean is an absolute joy to watch. She has so much potential.

She's strolled this game so far.

I've only just managed to sit back down. Textbook Erin Cuthbert.

Now Scotland are back on level terms. Can they sustain the momentum and finally be the team to dictate things in this Nations League group?

I am still sitting gawping, in a state of shock.

Not shocked that Erin Cuthbert has that in her locker, but it just... came from nowhere.

    Wow. Just wow.

Right, I said previously last time Scotland had the lovely lilac kit on that Nic Doc scored a screamer…

Now, THAT from Erin Cuthbert! Let’s wear this kit more often.

    Sensational.

    Fantastic. What a response!

No-one gets close to Cuthbert and we know the technical ability that she has. Evrard does not expect it and the execution is really sweet. What a huge goal that could be.

    Wowwwwwwwww! That's what she does...

An absolutely sensational strike from Erin Cuthbert completely bewilders Nicky Evrard.

At least 25 yards out that. What a player.

Just as we were praising Scotland...

I said Jenna Clark looked shaky earlier and she's caught in behind by a long ball.

It allows the lively Tessa Wullaert to slip the ball toward Marie Detruyer, who dispatches emphatically.

Scotland will have to come from behind against the Belgians again.

It's been a really good battle so far between Fiona Brown and Janice Cayman over on that Scotland left-hand side

That is what Brown has to be doing every time, keeping the wing-back on her toes. Making it as difficult as possible for her.

The last few days the message from the camp has been that there is still a confidence and a belief that this group can compete at this level.

    They're certainly showing that tonight.

A really solid start from Scotland. Fiona Brown right in front of me really is having a lot of joy. Keep at it.

Wee flash of danger from Belgium in retort.

The hosts break, allowing Tessa Wullaert to try her luck with a curling effort from the edge on the box on the left.

It was always going wide, but a reminder that it won't all go Scotland's way in terms of chances.

    And there she is again.

Scotland stride forward, with Claire Emslie cutting the ball back to an onrushing Erin Cuthbert.

Her finish under pressure is tame into the hands of Nicky Evrard. Promising signs.
