  1. 'Really frenetic stuff at Scarborough'published at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    HT: Scarborough 1-1 Forest Green

    Laurie Martin
Forest Green media officer on BBC Radio Gloucestershire

The game has ebbed and flowed a little bit.

It has been played at a fast tempo, really frenetic stuff.

But I think the manager will say 'well done' for getting a goal so soon after going behind.

Forest Green have shown enough that they can go on in the second half and get a couple more goals.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Barnet 1-3 Newport

Newport players surround referee Craig Hicks as the half-time whistle goes.

Obviously we do not condone that, especially after events in Turkey yesterday, but they are rightly furious about Harry Pritchard's goal for Barnet.

Pritchard's hand has changed the mood after Newport had cruised into a three-goal lead.

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Scarborough 1-1 Forest Green

All square at the Flamingo Land Stadium.

Ryan Qualter's header has been cancelled out by Tyrese Omotoye and we are still no nearer to knowing who is heading to Blackpool next Tuesday.

Remember, this tie has to be decided tonight.

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Walsall 1-0 Alfreton

No hint of a shock at the Bescott in tonight's replay.

Jamille Matt's first goal of the season has the League Two side ahead.

And George Wills has since been busy in the Alfreton goal to keep the National League North side in the tie.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Crewe 0-3 Bristol Rovers

John Marquis put Rovers in front with a curling finish before James Wilson made it two soon after.

And Antony Evans' third three minutes before the break has put the Gas in complete control of the tie with a trip to Norwich waiting in round three.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Barnet 1-3 Newport

Almost another back for Barnet as winger Idris Kanu cuts inside just in the area and his fierce goal-bound effort is brilliantly tipped over by Nick Townsend.

There is a really different feel to this tie now.

  7. 'Omotoye was in the right place for Forest Green goal'published at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Scarborough 1-1 Forest Green

    Laurie Martin
Forest Green media officer on BBC Radio Gloucestershire

Forest Green's Tyrese Omotoye was right on the goal-line, that is where you have got to be.

He needs to add more goals to his game, he would be the first to tell you that.

It was great play - the goalkeeper did well - but it was brilliant from Omotoye to be in the right place at the right time.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Port Vale 1-0 Stevenage

Ben Garrity's goal after six minutes gives Vale the lead at the break.

The home side have tested Taye Ashby-Hammond a couple of times since in the Stevenage goal but it remains tight at Vale Park.

An away tie at Maidstone of National League South is up for grabs.

  9. goal

GOAL: Crewe 0-3 Bristol Roverspublished at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Antony Evans (42 mins)

Goodnight Irene? Looking like Goodnight Charlie for Crewe now.

Antony Evans adds a third goal and the Gas are now cruising into round three.

  10. CLOSE!published at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Port Vale 1-0 Stevenage

Oh so close to a second for Vale.

Alfie Devine's shot takes a big deflection and has the goalkeeper beaten - but it's just wide of the post.

  11. goal

GOAL: Scarborough 1-1 Forest Greenpublished at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Tyrese Omotoye (34 mins)

Fine response from the League Two strugglers.

Good move from Forest Green as Callum Morton's header is saved and Tyrese Omotoye is first to the rebound.

  12. 'Scarborough crowd will be important'published at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Scarborough 1-0 Forest Green

    David Ward
    BBC Radio York commentator

The upset is on. You have to say that it is a lead that Scarborough Athletic deserve.

Now they have something to hold on to.

That will really get the crowd going.

They know how important that can be.

  13. goal

GOAL: Barnet 1-3 Newportpublished at 20:23 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Harry Pritchard (37 mins)

    Lifeline for the Bees.

Jordan Cropper's long throw is the source of it, as the ball is flicked on and then bundled in by captain Harry Pritchard.

    But hang on there....

That is very cheeky from Pritchard as he has literally flicked the ball past Nick Townsend with his hand, Diego Maradona style.

No VAR of course, so the goal stands. We all have our bugbears with video technology but it would not allow blatant cheating like that.

  14. 'Scarborough won't care how it has gone in'published at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Scarborough 1-0 Forest Green

    Darren Foreman
Former Scarborough striker on BBC Radio York

It was a great ball in by midfielder Finlay Barnes. Ryan Qualter just peeled off around the back.

I think the goalkeeper got a save on it, it might have gone in off one of the Forest Green defenders.

But I don't think anyone is going to care how it has gone in!

  15. Postpublished at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Port Vale 1-0 Stevenage

Moments at both ends of Vale Park.

Ben Thompson with an effort from range for the visitors that's narrowly wide of the post.

And then Ethan Chislett with a cross for Vale that falls for Alfie Devine to shoot but the goalkeeper holds on well.

  16. goal

GOAL: Scarborough 1-0 Forest Greenpublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Ryan Qualter (29 mins)

Breakthrough for the National League North team.

Defender Ryan Qualter is the man with it as he heads in from Finlay Barnes' free-kick, despite the attempts of James Belshaw in the Forest Green goal.

Just as in the first tie on 4 November, Scarborough lead.

  17. 'Scarborough are comfortable'published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Scarborough 0-0 Forest Green

    Darren Foreman
Former Scarborough striker on BBC Radio York

Everything is in front of Scarborough.

Forest Green haven't tried to threaten in behind.

They are dealing with them comfortably.

  18. Postpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Barnet 0-3 Newport

One of the things about no VAR is that players are not quite under the microscope as much.

Barnet winger Idris Kanu has been on the receiving end of a couple of stiff challenges, but he really leaves one on Shane McLoughlin.

    That was a bit naughty!

  19. goal

GOAL: Crewe 0-2 Bristol Roverspublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    James Wilson (25 mins)

    But now they've got two!

James Wilson doubles Rovers' lead at The Alex.

He gets on the end of a corner to shoot and his effort travels through a forest of humans to beat Crewe goalkeeper Harvey Davies.

  20. goal

GOAL: Barnet 0-3 Newportpublished at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

Danny Collinge own goal (25 mins)

Barnet's Danny Collinge heads an own goalImage source, Justin Setterfield/Getty Images

    That could well be that.

This is a Barnet horror show!

Newport goalkeeper Nick Townsend launches a huge goal-kick out of his hands towards the Barnet box. Laurie Walker is running out and Danny Collinge is running back and what happens?

The centre-half heads it over his 'keeper and into his own net!
