As we know, Celtic's European journey is over for this season.

It's now all about retaining the league title and Scottish Cup.

They're back in Premiership action on Saturday as they host Hearts at 15:00 GMT.

There has to be players that are ready to come into the side as well as projects.

Brendan Rodgers is going to have to get the players in that he wants for now.

I would expect to see players that are ready to challenge for the first team to put pressure on the ones that are in and to strengthen the squad.

More from Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers, who says "winning at this level always brings confidence".

"It was a big moment tonight," he adds. "They have now cleared that [record], so we can look forward now.

"[Mitchell Frame] has done very well for the B team. He's got a long way to go, but he's positive and he set up the corner for the goal at the end.

"It was a great moment for [Lagerbielke], because he hasn't been involved in a lot of the squads, but his attitude in training has been superb and he's always been ready. It was a really nice moment.

"We've shown against good sides that we can play well and compete, but you have to get the results. So to get the win tonight draws a line under that home record. It's the first win since Anderlecht. Hopefully we qualify next season and we go into it afresh.

"A club like ourselves, we're better being in it and learning and that hopefully allows the club to progress.

"I thought [Scales] was excellent. I'm pleased for him."

Celtic manger Brendan Rodgers: "The players showed they've learned through the process we've been in this year, because we've seen games over the years where the equaliser comes and then the other team gets the winner.

"I've got to tip the hat to the players because the mentality in the game was very good. Some people might have thought this was a nothing game but this meant everything to us. To get the victory, to feel the confidence to be able to compete at this level.

"We've shown lots of moments of potential, especially at home - we could have been sat on nine points from our home games.

"I think they thoroughly deserved it, they put so much into the game and it's always nice to win late on.

"It has been a challenge for us with key players out, but over the course of the six games I've seen enough in how we've played and fought to know if we can strengthen this squad and add quality in key areas, we can take confidence from this victory, try to qualify again next year and see if we can push on.

"You have to have certain qualities to perform at this level. We have to play a way that makes it difficult for teams, but there's no doubt you have to have a deeper squad of quality to compete at this level.

"I said to the players this is a competition and a level that can dent your confidence, but when you finish it you're going to be better players for it."

Could that goal be the thing that gives Lagerbielke confidence?

That feeling of importance to the team, maybe it'll just give him a lift and feel like he's part of it.

At times he hasn't looked assured, but it might give him confidence, feeling part of the group, and that might make all the difference.

Celtic would've been a little bit fearful going into the game.

For the fact that Stephen Welsh has barely played any football this season, the fact that Lagerbielke is sitting on the bench - £3.5m, Nawrocki isn't even in the squad.

Celtic scored a 90th-minute winner in the Champions League for the fourth time tonight.

It was their first since October 2012 against Spartak Moscow.

It was a brilliant game, really end to end.

It kind of went in waves. The atmosphere was unbelievable. When Lagerbielke scored the winning goal, that felt like a goal that qualified them out of the groups.

Going forward in Europe now, it will take a lot of pressure off in the next European campaign. There's not that stat with how many games they haven't won, and in the bigger picture, it's a very important victory.

This is a big win personally for Rodgers, just to arrest that decline.

It's a big win for Celtic as well, because if they hadn't their fans would have been seriously disgruntled.

And what about the manager?

Until about an hour ago, Brendan Rodgers looked like he was about to go 11 home matches in this competition without a win - the longest run by any manager in Champions League history.

But this result ends that grim run.

It's also a first Champions League win in general for Celtic since September 2017.

That also came under Brendan Rodgers during his first spell as boss away at Anderlecht.

As Tom reminds us, it's a first home Champions League win in a decade for Celtic.

That's surely big for this team's mentality, even if their European journey for this season is over.

When you're a young player, you're hoping the manager shouts you. Never in his wildest dreams did he think he'd go on and be able to have an impact in the game.
