Brighton and Palace thinking "the sooner you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up..."

Crystal Palace 0-1 Sheffield United
Well, where do Crystal Palace go from here?
The home fans haven't responded with any boos or negativity yet. In fact, their voices lift as Michael Olise goes on a mazy run and wins his side a corner.
But it's easily headed clear.
Fulham 0-0 Everton
He should score. Joao Palhinha, central and eight yards out, gets on the end of an excellent free-kick from Andreas Pereira but can only head it over the top. Close, but not close enough for the home side.

Rob Edwards will have to be right up there when considering Manager of the Season if he keeps Luton up! What a journey. What a way to bounce back from the Watford sacking. What a manager, what a story!

Great goal, credit to Oli McBurnie who gets a good touch and then a fantastic pass from Gustavo Hamer.
He just bends it into that corner, it's a great finish from Ben Brereton Diaz once he gets into that position.
Mounting pressure on Palace and Roy Hodgson even more now. It's a great finish from Brereton Diaz once he gets into that position.
Chris Richards has to show him down the line, he shows him inside.
Luton 2-0 Brighton
More frustration for Brighton because James Milner has to go off because of an injury.
The 38-year-old is replaced by Jack Hinshelwood, who is 20 years younger than Milner.

That is not the start Palace had planned. Ben Brereton-Diaz has scored an excellent goal in the first minute. That's really quietened down the home crowd.
Crystal Palace 0-1 Sheffield United
I have it as 20 seconds from the kick-off until Ben Brereton Diaz struck the net.
Incredibly, before today Sheffield United were the only side yet to score in the opening 30 minutes of a Premier League match this season.
Their earliest strike had been in the 33rd minute (Cameron Archer v Everton in September).
Nottingham Forest 0-0 Arsenal
Gabriel Jesus has a chance for Arsenal from inside the penalty area, but there are so many Forest bodies in the way it was never going to find its way through.

Looks like Di Zerbi is going to have to live up to his over hype tonight.

He has done OK tonight, Smith Rowe. Mixing it up with Jesus and Martinelli and trying to make things happen.
I have been in the camp of Nottingham Forest before where you are sitting in and you need to make sure you communicate to remain compact.

Would be helpful possibly if someone in this Arsenal team had a shot. Forest aren’t going to come out much and will close the space. Stop trying walk it in.

Ben Brereton Díaz
WOW!
After 20 seconds Ben Brereton Diaz gives Sheffield United a shock lead. Gustavo Hamer drives the visitors forward, ships the ball out to Brereton Diaz on the left, who cuts inside and smashes the ball into the corner from the edge of the box.
What a start. Palace are stunned.

Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at The City Ground
Nottingham Forest are sitting back and hoping to hit Arsenal on the break. Arsenal are weaving a few pretty patterns without any real penetration so far.
What I'm really trying to say is it's been a bit dull.
Crystal Palace 0-0 Sheffield United
Here we go. Another Premier League match kicks-off.
Sheffield United in bright yellow get us started
Nottingham Forest 0-0 Arsenal
Neither keeper has had too much to do at the City Ground. Emile Smith Rowe, looking to impress on a rare Arsenal start, fires over from 20 yards.
Luton 2-0 Brighton
Luton have gone 2-0 ahead in two minutes and 17 seconds against Brighton.
In Premier League history, only Leicester v Derby in April 1998 (2-0 in the opening two minutes) have ever scored twice earlier from the start of a match.

Just putting it out there... I think Luton scored their goals too early! Brighton have plenty of time to come back at them. Should be a great game this one!

Luton 2-0 Brighton
A decent start for Luton then.
