I've said it before and I'll say it again. Hojbjerg is too good a player to let go in January. It's a shame he hasn't started a couple in the past few weeks.

    Tottenham 1-0 Burnley

    Burnley are asking for trouble.

Goalkeeper Arijanet Muric literally passes it straight to Bryan Gil on the edge of his own box.

He can't get a shot off so tees up Ryan Sessegnon and he slices the effort just wide.

  9. 'Lack of quality'published at 21:42 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    FT: Brentford 1-1 Wolves

    Brentford

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has been speaking following their 1-1 draw with Wolves.

On why they failed to win against 10 men: "Lack of quality. If you play 11 against 10 after 80 minutes and don't win, that's lack of quality. We were not moving the ball, not creating chances, then we got punished."

On the Joao Gomes dismissal: "It's a red card. We will assess [Christian] Norgaard in the morming."

On Mikkel Damsgaard's booking: "I don't think it's a red, just like I don't think Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a red. There are several incidents where you pause the footage and it looks like a red. If you give these, it is not a contact sport, which is a problem."

On his argument with Gary O'Neil on the touchline after Damsgaard's booking: "It was nothing personal."

Neil: It does amaze me what happens when you shoot and not try to walk the ball into the net.

Rachel T: Post-Christmas Cracker from Pedro Porro!

I’ll happily sit through 80 minutes of stodge for a screamer like that!

  12. 'Incredible technique from Porro'published at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Tottenham 1-0 Burnley

    Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It is poor from Burnley. After you have been under pressure Muric should not throw the ball out there, clear your lines.

We said earlier that a shot would have to be top quality to beat Muric tonight and that effort from Porro was unbelievable. What a strike, incredible technique!

I would have run out of the stadium let alone to the corner flag if I'd scoed a goal of that quality.

GOAL - Tottenham 1-0 Burnleypublished at 21:36 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Pedro Porro (78 mins)

    WOW.

It's a special strike which will most likely decide this match and Pedro Porro has grabbed his first goal of the season.

He wins it back inside the Burnley half, takes a touch to steady himself then drills an unstoppable strike into the top left corner.

It's so perfect it rolls around the side-netting and the back, eventually nestling behind goalkeeper Arijanet Muric, who could do nothing about it.

  15. 'A goal is coming'published at 21:35 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Tottenham 0-0 Burnley

    Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think there is definitely going to be a goal in this game, I'm not sure who for, but I can feel one is coming.

If I was a betting man I would say Spurs because they are dominating possession, but Burnley continue to cause problems.

  17. 'Rotherham were happy to lose 1-0'published at 21:33 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    FT: Fulham 1-0 Rotherham

    Ronnie Moore
Ex-Rotherham manager on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It's an FA Cup game, it's not a league game.

It's 1-0, they hung in and stayed in the game but they didn't have a real go in the last 15 minutes. If we lose 2-0 or 3-0 by trying to win the game, let's do it. We self destruct for the goal.

I'm a little bit disappointed that we didn't push on a bit in the last 15 minutes. It's third round of the FA Cup, there's no pressure on you, go and have a go. Don't be happy to lose 1-0.

Fulham deserved to win it, they've had more possession and more shots on goal.

We've got to cut out the silly mistakes. That mistake was so careless to go and play inside and lose the ball. We've lost the game to a tremendous goal.

Overall I'm happy with the shape of the side but I wasn't excited in the FA Cup where I want my side to get through and play or take something away from a Premier League side. We were happy to lose 1-0 in my mind.

  18. Postpublished at 21:32 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Tottenham 0-0 Burnley

Burnley are starting to tire because they've worked so hard, particularly at the back to thwart Tottenham's efforts.

Hannes Delcroix gets the better of Brennan Johnson, who just can't seem to make the most of these chances at the moment.

  19. Postpublished at 21:30 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    FT: Fulham 1-0 Rotherham

Fulham are the first confirmed side in the fourth round after their win at Craven Cottage.

They have progressed from 13 of their last 15 FA Cup ties against sides from a lower division, including each of the last four in a row.
