    Man City 2-0 Huddersfield

    Gary Rose
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

"We want 10" is the chant from some of the Manchester City fans now as thoughts start to turn to the 10-1 win the hosts enjoyed against Huddersfield back in 1987.

The scoreline is already starting to look more like what was perhaps anticipated before kick off, but that was a really lovely goal as Manchester City players picked apart the Huddersfield defence with some razor-like passing inside the box.

    Shrewsbury 0-0 Wrexham

How has Sobowale not scored? I’ve just been looking back at the replay and it’s such a great chance and you can see his frustration afterwards. Shrewsbury have been the brighter of the pair. Wrexham at the moment are playing on the counter and Paul Mullin is making a nuisance of himself, as usual. But, for now, the Shrews are the brighter side.

It looked for all of the world that Patrick Bamford was offside. Bamford stood unmarked with nobody around him, his first touch is not great and it lands at the feet of Ethan Ampadu.

It looks like the officials have made a very good decision looking at the replay.

It was a tight one, from the naked eye the linesman has made a good decision and how refreshing watching a crowd just celebrating without VAR.

    Manchester City are in control.

There's some nice link up play between Matheus Nunes and Phil Foden before Rico Lewis takes a hit at goal.

It's blocked and Julian Alvarez reacts quickly to get a touch on the ball, which slowly makes it way into the Huddersfield net.

  12. Gaps were opening uppublished at 14:37 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January

    Man City 1-0 Huddersfield

    Gary Rose
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

Huddersfield had done really well to have kept Manchester City out for as long as they had but in the minutes before the goal it was just starting to feel like there were a few more gaps opening up in an otherwise watertight Terriers defence.

Defending for so long against a side of City's quality and it is inevitable that minds become tired and concentration starts to lapse.

The hosts are already on the hunt for more goals as they look to get this tie wrapped up after a trickier than perhaps expected start to the match.

GOAL - Peterborough 0-1 Leedspublished at 14:36 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January

    Ethan Ampadu

Leeds are in front but Peterborough think it should be ruled out for offside.

Jaidon Anthony dinks it in from a free-kick, Patrick Bamford chests it down and Ethan Ampadu fires it into the back of the net.

Peterborough think Bamford is offside but replays suggest it's tighter than it first looked.

Anyway, the goal stands and Leeds are ahead!
