    Derby 2-2 Burton

    Superb block Steve Seddon!

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing drives to the byline and pulls it back to the waiting Tom Barkhuizen.

His low finish looks a goal all the way, but Seddon puts his body on the line to block it out for a corner and keep parity for the visitors.

Hugill is a natural centre forward and that is different, asking different questions to what Mason Bennett would.

What an opportunity for the Manchester United youngster and he just slotted it home like he is playing in the back garden.

What a way to introduce himself.

Terrific pass from Steve Seddon, you have to give him credit-that diagonal pass right into the feet of Joe Hugill.

We are all square at Pride Park.

  4. goal

GOAL: Derby 2-2 Burtonpublished at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Joe Hugill (65 mins)

    Incredible!

Derby lose possession on the edge of the Burton box and the visitors pounce.

A great pass from Steve Seddon puts Joe Hugill away through the middle.

He has plenty to do, but races away from the halfway line and sends a cool low finish past the advancing Josh Vickers into the bottom corner.

He'd only been on three minutes!

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 63 mins

First yellow card of the evening as Adedeji Oshilaja brings down Max Bird as he looks to burst over halfway into the Burton half.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 61 mins

    Derby 2-1 Burton

Double change for he Brewers as Man Utd striker Joe Hugill comes on for his first senior appearance to replace former Derby man Mason Bennett who gets a predictable send-off from the home fans.

Ciaran Gilligan also makes way for Mark Helm.

    Derby 2-1 Burton

Now it's Burton turn to win a free-kick in a dangerous position deep in Derby territory.

Joe Powell swings a free-kick into the Derby penalty area, but it's disappointing and another set-piece fails to beat the first line of defence.

  8. Postpublished at 57 mins

    Derby 2-1 Burton

Derby respond with a free-kick near to the right-hand touchline adjacent to the 18-yard box.

Burton clear it comfortably enough. Then the Rams throw a deep cross into the box and Max Crocombe comes out well to collect,

It's not so noisy here now. The nerves are jangling a little after Burton's first-ever goal at Pride Park.

That goal from Derby had them creeping their way up to second in the League One table.

Pride Park was buzzing, more was wanted, but how things have quickly changed.

Steve Seddon's excellent finish for Burton has tensions high one more.

Held together by sticky plaster is Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.

Held together by Kisy/Kisae/I don't know what that word before tape is!

Kinaesthetic tape Fletch - 'tis used widely by footballers, cricketers, tennis players - the works these days!

  11. 'A great goal.'published at 21:12 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

What a terrific strike that is from Steve Seddon.

He drove forward, Albion had a three v two situation, and his strike just crept inside the post and Burton are back in this game.

    A great goal.

  12. goal

    Steve Seddon (54 mins)

Well, well, well. Who saw that coming?

Derby appeal for a free-kick for a push as Nathaniel Mendez-Laing dwells on the ball a little and is robbed by Steve Seddon.

He drives goalwards and sends a lovely strike low into the right-hand corner.

Mountain to climb for Burton Albion.

Two fantastic headers from Derby County.

James Collins' movement there was great and he sticks it away into the top corner.

  14. goal

GOAL: Derby 2-0 Burtonpublished at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    James Collins (48 mins)

That could be that for Derby!

Tom Barkhuizen's initial cross is cleared partially by Burton keeper Max Crocombe.

But Callum Elder sends another one into the mix from the left, and Barkhuizen does well to nod the ball back across goal where James Collins heads home from six yards out.

Good work from Barkhuizen who now has an assist to add to his goal.

    Derby 1-0 Burton

Burton have never scored at Pride Park and if that doesn't change tonight, a 14th league defeat of the season beckons.

But on the bench they do have 20-year-old Manchester United striker Joe Hugill who has joined on loan for the rest of the season.

No, he’s no relation to Jordan, but the Brewers fans will certainly hope he can emulate his goal feats.

No changes at the break from either manager and we're off.

    Derby 1-0 Burton

As it stands, Derby are one goal away from leapfrogging above Peterborough into the automatic promotion spots.

Victory by a two-goal margin will push them above Posh into second, on goal difference, and within a point of leaders Portsmouth.

Can they add a second, or will Burton spoil the party?

    Andrew Aloia

Derby are deserving of their 1-0 lead at the break, and the half-time murmur is one of general satisfaction among Rams fans.

Knowing a two-goal win is needed to send the Rams up to second, there will be sky-high expectations in the second half against a Burton side that have rarely mustered anything that represents a threat.

Still, the Brewers have been hard to break down and will undoubtedly work the Rams right to the end.

  19. Postpublished at 20:55 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Derby 1-0 Burton

Burton fans will not be greatly encouraged by what has gone before away from home this season as they look for a way back this evening.

The Brewers have picked up just one point from their last six away league games this season and last toasted victory on the road at Lincoln on 14 October.

They had just 13 miles to travel this evening, though, so they won't be too homesick.

  20. 'Can they try and hit Derby more with crosses into the box?'published at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

It has not been amazing by Albion but they are still in the game.

They have defended the box really well at times, the back three have been strong in that sense.

Can they try and hit Derby more with crosses into the box, can they get more in there to try and get that equaliser?
