    Hull City 0-1 Norwich

I wonder if Norwich might have a battle to keep Jon Rowe beyond 1 February.

The 20-year-old midfielder is up to 12 goals for the season after his superbly taken solo goal in the first half tonight.

His current deals runs until the end of next season, with an option in the club's favour.

Norwich's Dimitris Giannoulis was carrying a knock.

But, I do think the fact that there were four yellow cards in the team, would have made the decision to substitute him a little easier for the manager.

    Back under way.

Norwich have subbed off one of their four booked players.

Dimi Giannoulis is off and Sam McCallum is on. Straight swap at left-back.

    Mike White

We have not seen the impact that Fabio Carvalho can have.

There is work to do in the second half for the Tigers.

I don't feel it is a game that they should be trailing.

  5. Rowe technique something to beholdpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January

    HT: Hull City 0-1 Norwich

Jon Rowe was surrounded by Hull City players, but look at the technique on that outside of the foot shot from the Norwich forward.

Quite marvellous - and that was after he'd beaten several home players to get into the shooting position.

Some said his start-of-season form was a purple patch, but Rowe is a serious player.

Jeremy, a Norwich fan: Remember the name. Sir Jonathan Rowe, wow you're a superstar.

One of the best solo goals we've seen in the Championship this season?

  7. 'Not good enough' from Hullpublished at 20:58 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January

    HT: Hull City 0-1 Norwich

    Peter Swan
Former Hull City player on BBC Radio Humberside

It is an evenly matched game. Expectation? It has not lived up to that.

Fabio Carvalho has been too involved, he has to be disciplined and stay in an area.

There are too many long balls. Billy Sharp hasn't touched the ball.

Hull are making it easy for Norwich. It is not good enough.

Jon Rowe's superb strike is the difference at the break.

To be fair, the talented midfielder's goal was actually the only shot on target in the first 45 minutes but it was a thing of beauty.

He picked the ball up about 40 yards from goal, shook off a couple of attempted tackles and then fired home with the outside of his right boot.

Hull have had more of the ball but haven't done anything of note with it.

Really good play from Jack Stacey to break up a Hull attack and then carry the ball 40 yards up the pitch to alleviate the growing pressure on his side.

  10. 'Let Carvalho see what he can do'published at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January

    Hull City 0-1 Norwich

    Peter Swan
Former Hull City player on BBC Radio Humberside

    Hull haven't really created much.

They are giving the ball to Fabio Carvalho, then they are doing overlapping runs.

Let him see what he can do himself.

At the moment, players are doing overlaps and it is getting too tight and compact.

The home side fashion a decent opening down their left but Fabio Carvalho's attempted pullback is cleared away.

Hull are just looking to get something together before the break.

That Jon Rowe goal really came out of nowhere and, it has to be said, was totally out of keeping with the quality of the game before it.

  14. Cards flying out for Canariespublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January

    He's a bit card-happy this referee, isn't he?

Christmas was a couple of weeks ago but the cards are still coming out.

Another foul and another Norwich player booked.

This time it's goalscorer Jon Rowe. Again for a foul on Fabio Carvalho.

    Four Norwich players booked now.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 38 mins

    Hull City 0-1 Norwich

Marcelino Nunez is the third Norwich player booked.

Pretty poor challenge on Fabio Carvalho on the halfway line from the Chilean.

Three players booked for the Canaries now.

  17. 'Brilliant finish' from goalscorer Rowepublished at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January

    Hull City 0-1 Norwich

    Stephen Elliott
Former Norwich and Sunderland striker on BBC Radio Norfolk

    A fantastic goal.

Norwich's Jon Rowe looked sharp with little nutmegs earlier in the game.

He dribbled by two players. It's a brilliant finish with the outside of the boot into the corner.

The game was looking out for that moment of quality and he provides it.

Against the run of play but the away side will not care one jot!

Youngster Jon Rowe is having a fine season and this is a wonderful goal to add to his growing collection.

He gets on the ball about 40 yards out and manages to barge through a couple of challenges before firing home with the outisde of his right boot from 20 yards.

That's 12 for the season for him.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 35 mins

    Hull City 0-0 Norwich

Ozan Tufan goes down on the edge of the Norwich area and he's aghast not to get the decision.

Dimi Giannoulis is then booked for the away side about 30 seconds later for taking Lewie Coyle out with a swing of the arm while the ball was in the air.

Not pretty from the man in the mask.

  20. Twine shot looked 'dangerous'published at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January

    Hull City 0-0 Norwich

    Stephen Elliott
Former Norwich and Sunderland striker on BBC Radio Norfolk

    Hull City have dangerous players.

When Scott Twine cuts in, you fear the worst, but he just didn't get the correct connection there.
