  1. PENALTY TO LEICESTERpublished at 43 mins

    Coventry 0-0 Leicester

Bobby Thomas is judged to have fouled Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the Coventry box and Leicester are awarded a penalty!

He appears to win the ball so is it the follow-through that causes the penalty?

Meanwhile, Tatsihiro Sakamoto is booked in the aftermath. Can Leicester capitalise, here?

He should have scored, he has quality Callum O'Hare.

A brilliant break, James Justin having a difficult afternoon.

    How's he missed that?!

Coventry break once again and there's a switch of play on the right flank which Leicester can't deal with.

Tatsuhiro Sakamoto tees up Milan van Ewijk to play the ball low across the box towards Callum O'Hare who should get a shot away at the very least but the unmarked Coventry man clumsily scuffs the ball nearer the corner flag than the goal that's right in front of him.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 38 mins

    Coventry 0-0 Leicseter

Kasey Palmer is the first player to be shown a yellow card this afternoon.

The Coventry man goes into the book for kicking the ball away.

37 minutes in I think you would say it has been fairly even now.

Coventry had the better of the early exchanges, but Leicester have been better the last 15 minutes.

It's an open game on a knife edge.

Leicester going up the gears as they enjoy a spell of pressure against Coventry against the run of play.

A succession of passes carves open the hosts' defence with Cesare Casadei eventually played through but he can't quite divert a right-footed effort from close range - and unmarked - into the bottom corner.

    Coventry 0-0 Leicester

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall weaves his way through the Coventry box having beaten Bobby Thomas.

The Leicester man tries to work a shot away virtually on the byline but it deflects back onto Thomas.

There are shouts for a penalty for handball but it's correctly waved away.

    Coventry 0-0 Leicester

    End to end stuff, here.

Coventry can't quite open the door having threatened Leicester again from their latest free-kick and the visitors clear it upfield.

However, the hosts are standing firm at the back and the Foxes just can't find a route through to goal right now.

It's a frustrating afternoon for the league leaders so far.

Coventry deliver another long ball towards the Leicester box and it catches goalkeeper Mads Hermansen unawares.

He rushes out to beat Callum O'Hare to the ball and tries to get another bite of the cherry to clear it well away outside his box but he puts a high kick in on Ben Sheaf for which the hosts win a free-kick.

Probably put a little too much on it.

You could see what he was trying to do.

    Better though from Leicester.

The way it has gone so far this season, even when they start poorly you would be confident still that they will find a way.

    Coventry 0-0 Leicester

It's been a pretty high octane half at the CBS Arena, with a cracking atmosphere.

The game's predictably taken a slight dip in the past few minutes, however, with Leicester pinging a long ball into the Coventry box but it's got too much heft on it for Harry Winks to deal with it.

Another Coventry corner. The hosts have dominated the opening 20 minutes of this game and Leicester look unusually uncomfortable.

Fortunately for the visitors, Coventry can't take advantage of their corner and Leicester soon break upfield.

A long ball to Stephy Mavididi looks as if it's going out for a goal kick but he keeps it alive, despite more jeers going up from the Coventry fans behind their goal.

There's a bit of needle in this game now, particularly with the Coventry fans and Stephy Mavididi as the Leicester man takes a corner.

Said corner is immediately cleared by the hosts, much to the delight of the home supporters.

Soon after that, Mads Hermansen can't collect a back pass and the ball rolls away for a Coventry corner. More jeering follows.

  14. 'A lot of misplaced passes so far' from Leicesterpublished at 12:51 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January

At what point do we start thinking are the team (Leicester) a little rattled?

They have been so calm and confident even in the huge games.

As a collective, at the same time they seem to be not at the top of their game.

A lot of misplaced passes so far.

Leicester City are not going short of Midlands derbies right now.

All four of the East Midlanders' scheduled trips this season to the other side of the Midlands have been sandwiched into a two-month mid-winter band, starting with West Bromwich Albion on 2 December and culminating at Stoke on 3 February.

So far they have narrowly beaten Albion 2-1 and luckless Wayne Rooney's Birmingham City 3-2.

But everything points to this being the toughest of those four away tests - and that has certainly been the case in an electric start by Coventry City in an equally electric local derby atmosphere.

  17. Postpublished at 15 mins

Kasey Palmer picks up the ball as Leicester lose possession again.

He scuffs a shot well wide of the mark. There's a fair amount of sun on the Leicester side of the field.

Mads Hermansen has donned a Leicester City baseball cap. Can Coventry use the low winter sun to their advantage?

  18. Postpublished at 12 mins

Leicester stringing together a bit of possession for the first time in this game but they cheaply give the ball away as Matty Godden wins it back on halfway.

Coventry press and Tatsuhiro Sakamoto is making himself a nuisance every time he gets the ball.

    A decent encounter so far.

Wout Faes is pushing his hands to the ground telling people to calm down a bit but I think they need to do the opposite, they have started too slowly and Coventry are all over them so far.

What a save that is from Mads Hermansen to keep them in it.

Great stuff from Coventry, who are in the ascendancy right now.

Tatsuhiro Sakamoto makes a break into the Leicester box delivers a right-footed strike from the right-hand side of the box which forces a save from Mads Hermansen, who tips the ball onto the bar.
