    Goalscoring Livermore!

Brilliant finish from him. It comes out to the edge of the box, Livermore is running in - in a similar position to the first - and it's a brilliant finish.

He could be playing centre forward next week, clinical.

Yep. That's not a copy & paste error.

Matheus Martins fires in a low cross from the left, the ball is cleared to the edge of the area where Jake Livermore takes a touch and then hammers the ball low through a crowd to find the bottom corner.

The former England international had one goal this season before today, he now has two in five minutes.

  7. 'He should score'published at 13:24 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January

    QPR 0-1 Watford

    Derek Payne

He should score, no doubt about it.

Jack Colback is six yards out, it's on his wrong foot but he should score.

  8. CLOSE!published at 64 mins

    QPR 0-1 Watford

Jack Colback has missed a golden chance to level, he did the hard part, timing his run to meet a flicked header from a long throw, but then dragged his first-time effort well wide of the far post.

Head in hands. He knows that should have been 1-1.

  9. Postpublished at 63 mins

    QPR 0-1 Watford

QPR have had the better of the chances, most of the possession and territory and yet, they trail, again.

The Hoops are looking at an eighth defeat in 15 home games in all competitions in South Africa Road this season unless they can mount a comeback in the final half-hour.

  10. 'Beautiful finish'published at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January

    QPR 0-1 Watford

    Derek Payne
Former Watford midfielder for BBC Three Counties Radio

    Beautiful finish from Jake Livermore.

He opens his foot up, it's a nice first touch, and then he bends it into the corner. Brilliant goal.

Watford players have to keep their heads now.

    What a goal.

Matheus Martins drifts down the left, lays the ball back across the area for Jake Livermore who takes a touch, picks his spot and bends a sublime finish inside the far post past the flying Asmir Begovic.

A beautiful finish and Watford are all of a sudden within a point of the play-off places as things stand.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 57 mins

    QPR 0-0 Watford

QPR's turn to break, sparked by a superb long throw from keeper Asmir Begovic, the ball is squared to Sinclair Armstrong who manages to bustle past the last defender but his heavy touch allows Ben Hamer to race off his line to bravely block his shot at his feet.

Breathless stuff. Armstrong is an absolute handful. A real tough diamond.

  13. CLOSE!published at 55 mins

    QPR 0-0 Watford

Watford break at pace and Ryan Healey lays the ball off for Giorgi Chakvetadze whose 20-yard drive deflects just past the base of the post.

  14. Postpublished at 54 mins

    QPR 0-0 Watford

Jimmy Dunne peels away to meet a left-wing QPR corner with a first-time volley on his left-foot but can only fire well over the target.

Watford have conceded 11 goals from set-pieces, QPR have done so 10 times... of course it's 0-0.

  15. Postpublished at 53 mins

    QPR 0-0 Watford

Jimmy Dunne somehow avoids a yellow after wrestling with Watford forward Ryan Healey as he tried to spin him midway inside the Hoops half.

The Hornets fans who have made the short journey are incensed that it wasn't a seventh booking of the afternoon.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 49 mins

    QPR 0-0 Watford

Tom Dele-Bashiru is the latest Watford man to be cautioned after another late challenge in midfield. Three bookings apiece. Who needs goals, eh?

  18. Postpublished at 48 mins

    QPR 0-0 Watford

Watford win another corner but just like the first, the first man is able to clear.

QPR fans are delighted at this new-found resilience - they have conceded five goals from set-pieces in their previous four games.

  19. 'A lively start to second half'published at 13:07 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January

    QPR 0-0 Watford

    Steve Brown
Former Charlton Athletic defender on BBC Radio London

A lively first two minutes in the second half.

Sinclair Armstrong was bearing down on Ben Hamer, if he aimed lower, I think we would have had the first goal.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 46 mins

    QPR 0-0 Watford

Sinclair Armstrong shows his strength to latch on to a ball down the left within 15 seconds of the restart, but his right-footed effort is too close to Ben Harmer - who turns the ball past the angle of post and bar.

Blistering start to the second period. A good save but had the Rs man passed that low towards the corner you suspect he wouldn't have had a chance of saving it.
