    Leaders Leicester in front!

Stephy Mavididi and Ricardo Pereira swap passes down the Foxes' left and Mavididi's low cross goes in off Ipswich left-back Leif Davis.

An unfortunate way for the visitors to go behind, but Leicester fans won't care too much about that.

    Leicester 0-0 Ipswich

Ipswich's best move of the match comes down their left touchline, the ball is played low into the box and Conor Chaplin has a shot which flies well over the bar.

But that's better from both teams in an attacking sense in the past couple of minutes.

What a save from Vaclav Hladky.

Hamza Choudhury tries to aim it into the top right corner.

He gets two hands to it, which is really hard to do.

Hamza Choudhury tries his luck from 25 yards for Leicester, forcing a diving save from Vaclav Hladky.

The resulting corner comes to nothing.

You can see why Ipswich have done so well this season.

It would be a statement win for Leicester, you can tell that Coventry loss would have hurt for them, they won't want to double that up with a loss tonight.

Anon: Someone should remind Rob from Devon (20:05 GMT) that Ipswich are newly promoted, challenging all three newly relegated sides. David v Goliath springs to mind.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is seeing a lot of the ball in good areas for Leicester early on, but it's just not quite happening for him so far tonight.

He spins on the ball in midfield about 30 yards from goal and looks to play in his captain Ricardo Pereira, but it's overhit and off target.

Midway through the first half and just the one shot on target for Leicester, zero for Ipswich.

Doing some research before this game, it surprised me to see that neither Leicester nor Ipswich have a player in their squad that has reached double figures for goals in the Championship this season.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Stephy Mavididi lead the way for the Foxes with nine apiece in the league, the same number as Ipswich's Conor Chaplin.

What both sides possess, though, is goalscorers from all areas. Sixteen different players have scored at least once in the Championship for Leicester this season, while 14 players have found the net for Ipswich.

  9. 'Disappointment replaced by encouragement'published at 18 mins

A groan echoed around King Power Stadium in unison after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall made a mess of that chance.

But the noise of disappointment is quickly replaced by claps of encouragement. Leicester fans want more of that.

Still, it was a huge chance missed.

Ah, a big chance missed here for Leicester.

Ricardo Pereira seizes on a loose pass in midfield and the Foxes have a three-on-two on the counter attack.

He plays the ball inside to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who looks to lay it off again to Tom Cannon when the shot was on with his preferred left foot, and the ball drifts harmlessly behind for a goal-kick.

There is a big gap through the middle of Leicester, the game is very open.

Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna will be fairly happy with how his side has started, I think. A couple of minor threats to the visitors' goal but nothing to unduly worry the Tractor Boys thus far.

His opposite number, Enzo Maresca, is watching this match from the stands. He is serving a one-game touchline ban after being shown his third yellow card of the season.

Now it's Leicester's turn to escape from a sloppy moment inside their own area. Goalkeeper Mads Hermansen takes a heavy touch and whips the ball off the toe of the onrushing Kayden Jackson.

Goodness me, Ipswich try to play the ball out from the back and almost come unstuck inside their own penalty area.

They get it clear but that's the sort of situation where you definitely don't want to give a goal away in a match of this magnitude.

  15. 'Can't give Leicester chances like that'published at 4 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Ipswich

You can't give Leicester chances like that, they are very fluid going forward.

It should have been simple for Lewis Travis to pick up Tom Cannon.

Anon: My best memory of a promotion showdown is April 1967. Coventry City 3 Wolves 1. Record crowd of more than 51,000. It was the best match I have ever witnessed. Peter Knowles scored for Wolves first and they went in at half-time 1-0 up. But we had Ernie Machin, Robbie Rees and the magical Ian Gibson. We also had Bill Glazier, the world’s most expensive goalkeeper!

Rob in Devon: Ipswich vastly myopic. Three possible scenarios 1. get promoted, stay up and lose McKenna to a bigger club (Man Utd?) and then get relegated in 25-26 or 2. get promoted, get relegated, sack McKenna and struggle or 3. don't get promoted, stay in the Championship (which is probably the appropriate level for the club).

Leicester have their first foray into Ipswich territory as Tom Cannon drifts past a couple of defenders, but Harry Clarke is across well from right-back to prevent the Foxes striker getting a shot away.

Ipswich win a corner inside the first 30 seconds but it's a poor delivery and pretty soon it's back inside the visitors' half.
