Serious start from the League Two leaders who had made three changes for this game.

Macauley Southam-Hales returned from injury to start, Nick Powell and Paddy Madden also came in and all three were involved in the two goals inside 10 minutes.

A Madden header from a corner and an own goal, but it is playmaker Connor Lemonheigh-Evans who is running the show so far and he got the third.

And it could be four or more...

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    Port Vale 0-0 Portsmouth

Pompey slipping to second as it stands.

Just one shot all half from free-scoring Peterborough. We don't often say that.

A little lapse has seen Carlisle punished again.

It's not that they've been off it because they've had a game plan.

However, the second goal was a sucker punch.

They are well on the way to completing their part of the deal at Brunton Park.
