City certainly need some new ideas so can Sam Bell influence the game on the right-hand side? There needs to be much more out wide.

There is another change for Bristol City with Sam Bell replacing Ross McCrorie.

  4. Postpublished at 72 mins

    Bristol City 0-1 Leeds

Those increasingly well baked half chances are starting to build up for Bristol City.

Leading Robins scorer Tommy Conway has a pop from the top of the area, and it takes a Junior Firpo block to defuse the danger.

    Bristol City 0-1 Leeds

Leeds boss Daniel Farke is looking very animated on the side of the pitch as he barks instructions, claps his hands and points this way and that.

The message will be to kill this game off, because Bristol City are beginning to pose a few threats.

    Bristol City 0-1 Leeds

    Gary Owers
Former Bristol City midfielder on BBC Radio Bristol

You have to put it down as very good goalkeeping. I thought it was beyond him.

What a chance for City. By miles the best chance of the evening for the home side.

  7. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Bristol City 0-1 Leeds

Illan Meslier makes his first save of the night, and how important it is.

A through ball finds substitute Anis Mehmeti, and he turns onto it, runs and shoots low.

The French goalkeeper, however, is equal to it.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 63 mins

    Bristol City 0-1 Leeds

We have the first booking of the night as Rob Dickie is shown a yellow card for what can only be described as 'riding' Ilia Gruev in an attempted tackle. He was all over him.

  9. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Bristol City 0-1 Leeds

Crysencio Summerville trades a few neat passes before space opens up for the Dutchman just outside the box.

He tries to arrow a shot into the bottom corner, but Max O'Leary is untroubled as he gets down to it.

    Bristol City 0-1 Leeds

When Leeds string the passes together, City can't live with them.

But they're still right in the game and there's plenty of time. Can they scrap something out of tonight?

    Bristol City 0-1 Leeds

Leeds United are almost gifted a second as Bristol City make a mess of things as they try to play the ball out from the back.

Crysencio Summerville finds himself in possession on the edge of the area and he drops the shoulder and runs into the box.

His shot, in the end, is blocked. That was damage limitation.

  13. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Bristol City 0-1 Leeds

Nahki Wells skips beyond a challenge from Ethan Ampadu and Jason Knight finds some space on the right.

The attack comes to nothing, but that is the first hint of a response from Bristol City.

  14. 'Should be 2-0'published at 21:14 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February

    Bristol City 0-1 Leeds

    Adam Pope
    BBC Radio Leeds commentator

He's gone left, he should have gone right, it's a bad touch and it should be 2-0 Leeds.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 52 mins

    Bristol City 0-1 Leeds

Glen Kamara links up with Crysencio Summerville on the break.

The pair of them just blaze right down the middle and have Bristol City's defence backtracking in panic.

Kamara tries to chip his finish over Max O'Leary, but the Bristol City goalkeeper gets a touch and takes the shot wide for a corner.

    Bristol City 0-0 Leeds

The Leeds faithful have come to life in the Ashton Gate stands after the opener from Wilfried Gnonto.

Will that bring more from Leeds, or will it spark Bristol City to life?

  17. 'Leeds deserve it'published at 21:10 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February

    Bristol City 0-1 Leeds

    Jon Newsome
Ex-Leeds defender on BBC Radio Leeds

There's a bit of hesitation from the Bristol City defence and it's a big swing of the left foot from Wilfried Gnonto.

Ultimately, it's what Leeds have deserved and you feel there's more goals in this game. That'll knock the stuffing out of City.

GOAL: Bristol City 0-1 Leedspublished at 48 mins

    Wilfried Gnonto

Wilfried Gnonto has wasted no time in the second half getting the goal Leeds United deserve.

A searching ball from Junior Firpo finds the Italy Under-21 international running into space at pace.

He steadies himself, takes a look up and lashes a low shot across Max O'Leary, which wrongfoots the keeper, and into the bottom corner.

    Bristol City 0-0 Leeds

In the first half I mentioned that Bristol City have had somewhat of a rotten time against Leeds United in the league.

For Leeds, Ashton Gate has become somewhat of a happy hunting ground.

They have won their past three league visits here. This is their first since the opening weekend of the 2019-20 season when they won 3-1 under legendary Argentine boss Marcelo Bielsa.

And we are back up and running at Ashton Gate.

Can Leeds come away with three points to move into the top two for the first time this season?
