  1. Levein makes attacking switchpublished at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    Kilmarnock 2-0 St Johnstone

Craig Levein rolls the dice first, with Nicky Clark on to try and add some firepower to the St Johnstone attack. Somewhat surprisingly, Dan Phillips is replaced.

He'd been one of Saints' better players, but what do we know?

  3. Anderson & McMillan want more!published at 16:15 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    Partick Thistle 1-1 Inverness CT

    Kenny Crawford
    BBC Sport Scotland at Firhill

Max Anderson inches away from his and Caley Thistle’s second of the afternoon…his low shot whizzes by the foot of the post after great set-up play by David Wotherspoon.

At the other end, Jack McMillan’s shot through a ruck of players is blocked.

  4. Postpublished at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    Kilmarnock 2-0 St Johnstone

Another chance for Kilmarnock and it comes from a crunching Robbie Deas tackles.

The ball heads towards the corner flag but doesn't go out and Corrie Ndaba picks up, skips by a defender and sends an inviting ball across the box... but no takers.

  5. goal

GOAL! Celtic 2-0 Livingstonpublished at 16:12 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    Liam Scales

That's some header from the centre-half.

Liam Scales is facing away from goal as he meets a sizzling corner from Luis Palma but he manages to twist in the air and divert the ball home from six yards.

All the pace was on the delivery but applying the right touch took some impressive agility.

  6. Postpublished at 16:11 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    Celtic 1-0 Livingston

Just 28 seconds after the second half kicked off, Kyogo popped up at the back post to turn in that Celtic opener.

David Martindale will be sick at that. His team were solid for the first 45.

  7. goal

GOAL! Hearts 2-0 St Mirrenpublished at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    Lawrence Shankland

What a goal. What a player. Simply stunning.

A ball is fizzed into Lawrence Shankland on the edge of the box, his touch flicks the ball up and on the turn he caresses it with his left peg into the top corner.

Absolutely brilliant on his weaker foot.

  9. goal

GOAL! Celtic 1-0 Livingstonpublished at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    Kyogo Furuhashi

That's more like it from the leaders.

Luis Palma drifts in from the left and curls in a delicious ball to the back post area.

Kyogo does the rest with a close-range flick.

  11. No pies, no partypublished at 16:05 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    HT: Kilmarnock 2-0 St Johnstone

    Andy Burke
    BBC Scotland at Rugby Park

Utter dismay in the Rugby Park press room as it becomes clear there are no famous Killie pies on offer to the scribblers and broadcasters at half-time.

    Christmas ruined for several journos.

  12. 'Biggest frustration is for the fans'published at 16:05 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    Dundee P-P Aberdeen

Barry Robson chats to referee David MunroImage source, SNS

Aberdeen boss Barry Robson tells BBC Sportsound: "I'm just disappointed. When I came on the pitch it looked really wet, but I thought it was just the bottom corner.

"I went back inside and the next thing I know, I heard the game was in trouble.

"The biggest frustration for me is the fans. Aberdeen's terrible with snow today - they've come all the way down to see their team, it's Christmas, and it gets called off at that time. That's what annoys me.

"The referee said it's player welfare, and that's what we need to look at - we don't want any players injured. It's just frustrating, it really is.

"We wanted to get a third win [in a row]. For me, I don't know what happened earlier today and if the pitch has got worse.

"My players are high, hyped, ready to go, and then this happens."

  13. Docherty 'stunned' at postponementpublished at 16:03 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    Dundee P-P Aberdeen

Dundee manager Tony Docherty tells BBC Scotland: "Quite simply, I'm absolutely stunned. We've got our team training on the pitch. It's 14:57, there's no rain at all.

"I just find it a bit surreal the boys are training on a pitch we should be playing on against Aberdeen.

"I've been here since 09:00, the groundsmen have been on the pitch. There was never any hesitation about the game being on. I'm just stunned.

"The referee never discussed anything with me - not one thing. I was in the middle of my team meeting when an employee of the club told me the game was off. That's how I found out.

"We're in good form, we're always desperate to get home and get our support behind us. I'm really disappointed for the players. There's real frustration there."

Some interesting stuff indeed from the Dundee boss...

  15. 'Same old story for Celtic'published at 16:01 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    HT: Celtic 0-0 Livingston

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Scotland at Celtic Park

Same old story for Celtic lately when it comes to playing against a side with a good defensive plan. Brendan Rodgers' side have had all of the ball but lacked the requisite quality to get themselves ahead.

They did create a couple of good chances but Kyogo, Maeda and Matt O'Riley couldn't show the composure required.

Add in some excellent defending and fearless blocking and you have a happy Livi camp, and a few boos once again from the frustrated home support.

  16. Postpublished at 15:57 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

We've had another look at that Paulo Bernardo handball incident.

It seems to be inside the box, but the ball struck his chest before hitting his arm.

  17. Two Jags a-joustingpublished at 15:56 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

HT: Partick Thistle 1-1 Inverness CT

    Kenny Crawford
    BBC Sport Scotland at Firhill

The game exploded into life within the first 20 seconds thanks to Max Anderson’s early opener for the visitors, but the former Dundee midfielder’s second of the season was cancelled out by Jack McMillan notching his own second of the campaign from close range

Since then, Ben Stanway and Brian Graham have gone close for Partick Thistle, while David Wotherspoon has often threatened for Caley Thistle.

  19. HALF-TIME - Hearts 1-0 St Mirrenpublished at 15:53 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

Lawrence Shankland's 14th goal of the season for Hearts separates the sides at Tynecastle.

It's not been the best game, but the Scotland striker guided in a diving header at the back post after Mark O'Hara lost the ball in his own box.

Hearts are on course to be third at Christmas.

  20. HALF-TIME Kilmarnock 2-0 St Johnstonepublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

What a start Kilmarnock made to this one.

A superb goal from David Watson, lashing in from distance after six minutes, before Marley Watkins poked in a second.

The hosts could, and should, have had more. Kyle Vassell missed from a few yards out and has had a few more chances but has been unable to take them and end the game as a contest.

St Johnstone have had just the one chance through Max Kucheriavyi. They did start to play around the half-hour mark, but Will Dennis has been tested just once.

As it stands, Kilmarnock go fourth.
