Another chance you would expect the Kyogo Furuhashi of the previous two seasons to take.
However, the Celtic striker misses an attempted volley from five yards.
It goes for a corner and Paulo Bernardo's glancing header goes just wide of the far post.

Perfect run, perfect pass.
I thought it was in the back of the net. He did everything right!

The quick switches of play are on for Celtic all the time because of the Dundee set-up.

Zak Rudden is unfortunate there.
He's done everything right. He knows where the goal is, he's tried to get enough on it to flick it up and over Joe Hart, but it's a comfortable save in the end.

Celtic centre-half Liam Scales is booked for a professional foul on Cammy Kerr.
If he hadn't conceded the foul, the Dundee stalwart was in the clear down the right.

Lyall Cameron creates Dundee's first chance.
The diminutive midfielder's wee legs just won't part with the ball as it bobbles past a few half-hearted Celtic challenges before he fires a low ball into the six-yard box, but there are no takers.

You can see already when Celtic get on the ball that Maeda and Palma are driving the two Dundee wing-backs back. It's leaving plenty of space for Johnston or Taylor, or even O'Riley, if he wants to drift into that position, on the outside.
I'm sure that's what Tony Docherty is happy with - giving up space up on the sides, as long as they are not getting penetrated.
