Another wave of Dundee United attack ends in a corner taken by Glenn Middleton.

Thistle have their chance of a corner up the other end. Steven Lawless fires it to the front post but Kai Fotheringham gets it away.

Kai Fotheringham makes a great run forward.

He wriggles past all the Thistle defenders who try to nab the ball off him, gets it onto his left foot and fires a strike just wide of the far post.

Jamie Sneddon is called into action for Thistle at one end to smother a shot that was deflected towards his goal by his own defender.

Thistle have two consecutive corners up the other end but they can't manage to make anything of it.

Just when you're maybe beginning to think Thistle aren't up for this one, they pull a move like that out of the bag.

That's Kris Doolan's side to a tee.

Bit of slick zip and they're in. Should know better to even consider writing anyone off in this league...

Partick Thistle get their first real chance of the game.

Steven Lawless receives the ball from Jack McMillan just inside the United box and he gets his shot away but he can't quite keep it down.

Thistle finally have a bit of luck and win a corner.

It's played short to Steven Lawless who fires the ball towards the back post but the ball bounces out for a goal-kick. Bit of a waste that...

Thistle finally break free from the confines of the Dundee United half but Steven Lawless has no real options ahead of him.

He then gets tugged to the ground by Glenn Middleton and the visitors win a free-kick

Glenn Middleton in the limelight once again. He breaks away from the Thistle defence and tries a strike from distance.

It takes a deflection and Jamie Sneddon dives to his right for a comfortable save.

United break into the final third once again.

Glenn Middleton floats a great ball in and Scott McMann gets his head on it but can't direct it on target and it sails over the bar.

Another United corner and another Glenn Middleton delivery.

He finds Kevin Holt in the box who just can't manage to get his shot right. It goes out for another corner on the other side.

Middleton is on it again, knocking over the microphone in the process.

It's another beautiful delivery and Thistle somehow scramble it away.

Another chance for the home side.

Kerr McInroy gives the ball away in a dangerous area and Tony Watt picks it up inside the box.

He tries to cross it to an orange shirt but it's a tight angle and the ball goes out for a goal kick.

Glenn Middleton swings the ball into the box and Kevin Holt dives towards the cross to try and head it past Thistle keeper Jamie Sneddon but it goes out the other side for a goal kick.

Thistle have an early free-kick that's floated into the edge of the box but it's dealt with by the United defence.

The home side break up the other end through Tony Watt, who wins a corner.

And we're under way at Tannadice...

Nine goals in 16 league games for this man so far this season, will we see him find the back of the net tonight?

Well, we were at the wrong game last week, weren't we?

Here's hoping tonight is better. It can't be much worse, can it?

The two highest scoring sides in the division... I'm allowed to have hope, aren't I?

Partick Thistle manager Kris Doolan tells BBC Scotland: "We are looking forward to the game, we are coming here in good form and the boys are confident.

"It is a great stadium to come to and a great pitch so hopefully it is set up for a good game.

"I think we have shown already that we are a team that can score goals.

"We have got a lot of talented players in the final third.

"Dundee United have a great defensive record but I hope all our guys going forward, even the full-backs, can put them under pressure."
