Chelsea has been playing a dirty rough game, as they know that technically and tactically they cannot match Liverpool.

    Som

Awful first half from the referee. Chelsea should have had multiple yellows, and Conor Bradley did nothing to get booked. Chilwell lost his head.

  4. 'Really good from Jackson'published at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool

    Alan Shearer
Former England and Newcastle striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Really good work from Jackson down the left side, who found Gallagher. He needed someone to support him and he had that from Enzo but he just couldn't get it out of his feet.

    Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool

Enzo gets the ball stuck under his feet in the area while Palmer is behind him. Palmer was so frustrated he was bouncing on the spot. He feels the ball should have just been helped on to him.

    Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool

A poor pass by Conor Bradley and suddenly Chelsea break. Nicolas Jackson chases a ball down the left, finds Conor Gallagher inside the box and he in turn picks out Enzo Fernández with his back to goal. Fernandez tries to backheel in but fails to get it on target.

  7. Race you to the dressing roompublished at 16:13 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp was in a real rush to get to the dressing room at half-time to impart his words of wisdom.

Looked as though he was racing Mauricio Pochettino to the tunnel, even going as far as hurdling an advertising hoarding to get a head-start.

Liverpool have certainly started the second half the brighter so perhaps Klopp made those extra few precious seconds count.

  8. Who can make the breakthrough?published at 16:13 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley

Huge roars from both ends of Wembley as the second half got under way and Liverpool right on to the attack. Chelsea improved as the first half went on but manager Mauricio Pochettino will surely be demanding more intensity against this under-strength Liverpool side.

    Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool

Moises Caicedo has an issue with his knee. It is after a challenge by Alexis Mac Allister but he's fine to continue after a bit of stretching.

    Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool

    Alan Shearer

Diaz did really well keeping the width for Liverpool and getting to the by-line, although there was no one for him to cross to.

Chelsea can't clear Andy Robertson's outswinger before Wataru Endo swipes an effort well wide.

Great start by Liverpool with Wataru Endo playing a fantastic ball through the defence to Luis Diaz, who gets into the box before his cross is deflected behind for the first corner of the second half.

A shot from Mac Alistair will seal the win for Liverpool

    Nav

Bring Mudryk and Nkunku on. We’re lacking the pace and energy to properly counter. Disjointed at the moment.

    Sam

I have to wonder how Caicedo isn't on a yellow? Chelsea did 9 fouls in the 1st half and Caicedo was at least 5-6 of them.

  15. 'You can see why Klopp was so disappointed'published at 16:04 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    HT: Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool

    Jamie Redknapp
Former Tottenham midfielder on Sky Sports

On Moises Caicedo's challenge on Ryan Gravenberch: "Not a great challenge, it's extremely clumsy. You can see why Gravenberch came off.

"It's definitely a yellow card. Caicedo wasn't even looking when he made the challenge but Gravenberch's foot was planted. I can see why Jurgen Klopp was so disappointed with it.

"I think a yellow card in that situation does suffice."

    Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool

The 2022 FA Cup and EFL Cup finals between these two sides went to extra-time after a goalless 90 minutes, before Liverpool came out on top in the penalty shoot-outs.

Are we going to go the distance in this one too?

  17. 'It took Liverpool time to adjust after Gravenberch went off'published at 15:58 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool

    Paul Heckingbottom
Former Sheffield United manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

I feel like that one substitution for Liverpool took them 10/15 minutes to get ready after it. It wasn't just one change, it led to three tactically and it took them a while to adapt.

  18. 'Plenty of opportunities'published at 15:55 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool

    Alan Shearer
Former England and Newcastle striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Very much how we expected, I didn't think there would be a lot of goals. It's been really tight. Having said that, there's been plenty of opportunities. Palmer's chance, a great save from Kelleher. Gakpo's header goes close. Very even.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

A lively first half but it is goalless at the break.

  20. Postpublished at 45+5 mins

Into the final minute of stoppage time and Liverpool are back on top. Chelsea will be keen to hear the whistle for half time soon.
