It goes from bad to worse for Brighton.

Billy Gilmour is sent off for a nasty tackle on Amadou Onana.

It was a poor touch from the Scottish midfielder, and in attempting to make amends he caught Onana plumb on the ankle with his studs.

Definitely the correct decision by referee Tony Harrington, quickly affirmed by VAR.

Was this the chance? Boy, it was a good one.

Alejandro Garnacho clips in a delicious out-swinging corner which invites Harry Maguire to attack it.

The England man does exactly that, using his strength and spring to get above Calvin Bassey but is unable to keep his header down.

That’s the last thing Man U will want to see when they are a goal down at home and needing to push further forward: Adama Traore coming on to threaten on the counter with his incredible pace and strength.

Counting down to the final 10 minutes now.

Manchester United need a lift, a spark, something to get them going. First, they almost trailing by two goals.

Sloppy play by United allows Fulham to burst forward again and Harry Wilson bends one just past the wrong side of the upright as far as the visitors are concerned.

Some in the away end thought it was in!

Brighton look stunned by that goal.

Simon Adingra keeps plugging away, but is denied down the right by a fine challenge from Jarrad Branthwaite. The final touch came off Adingra too, so goal kick.

Branthwaite has had a titanic game for Everton today.

There's a long way to go in this. These Fulham players and supporters understand that United have that threat, that quality at the top of the pitch. More changes coming, another stop in play and I think that will suit Fulham.

However, the cut above his left ear - patched up by his corner earlier - has reopened.

Time for Reed to throw in the towel and he is replaced by the man with the greased-up biceps - Adama Traore.
