    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

That is genuinely the worst free kick I have ever seen.

Gus Hamer tries to clip a cross to the far post, despite the set piece being 20 yards out in a central area. He overhits it by about 10 yards and it curls away for Wolves to clear.

"That's why you're going down," sing the home fans.

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

Rhian Brewster may not have scored today, but he has given the Wolves defenders a headache.

He twists on the edge of the box, drawing a foul from Joao Gomes and a free kick in a dangerous area.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 72 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

Chris Wilder is first to turn to his bench, Ben Osborn replacing Yasser Larouci.

  4. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 70 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

That's naughty from Nelson Semedo, who is booked for a cynical foul on Rhian Brewster as United looked to break from a corner.

It was over on the right touchline and Wolves had players back, which saved it from being a red.

Away captain Anel Ahmedhodzic badly wanted a red card, and ends up being booked for his protests.

That's why Sheffield United struggle, not good in the final third.

    A recipe for disaster.

  6. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

A good burst from midfield by Gus Hamer, which wins United a corner.

United have had a good number of set pieces today, but have done nothing with them. This one leads to a Wolves counter attack, and Yasser Larouci does well to shepherd the ball away under pressure from Pedro Neto.

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

Nearly at the midway point of the second half, and neither manager has turned to their bench yet.

    It's a tense contest.

Yasser Larouci miscues a cross from the left and smacks the turf in annoyance, to the delight of the home fans.

  8. CLOSE!published at 63 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

Much more like it from Wolves, and Pablo Sarabia.

The former PSG winger cuts inside on his favoured left foot, and whistles a shot narrowly wide from 25 yards.

  9. 'That's why Wolves fans are getting frustrated'published at 14:52 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

    Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

The tempo is slow, that is what it is and I think that's why Wolves fans are getting frustrated.

I'm all for the slow build-up but when you get over that halfway line can you quicken it up? One and two touch.

  10. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

Nelson Semedo bullies his man down the right and gets a cross in, which is well defended.

The second ball from Toti Gomes is cleared behind his own goal by Yasser Larouci under no pressure. Poor defending.

The corner comes to nothing, fortunately for Larouci.

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

An hour played, and this is still anyone's game.

Sheffield United have had the better of the play after the break, but really lack a cutting edge.

Wolves haven't fired on all cylinders all day today, really.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 57 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

United keep making the better chances!

This time it's James McAtee who sends a dangerous low cross in which Rhian Brewster meets with a sliding volley. Jose Sa stands strong and blocks the effort.

  13. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

The Wolves fans are making their feelings clear about VAR following that non-penalty call.

They haven't been fans of VAR for a long time.

  14. 'Too slow' from Wolvespublished at 14:45 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

    Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Wolves have been sloppy in this second half, too slow and you can see the fans saying to the Wolves players "play it quicker, get forward quicker" - but credit to Sheffield United.

  15. VAR

Video Assistant Refereepublished at 54 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

Ooh, this could have been a penalty to Wolves.

Joao Gomes flicks the ball up and it hits the arm of Vinicius Souza, which is out away from his body.

Not given on pitch, and VAR decides against a penalty too.

  16. CLOSE!published at 52 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

Sheffield United have made a good start to the second half, but they are never far from an error.

Ollie Norwood wins the ball high in the Wolves half, but his pass into James McAtee is too quick and almost knocks the forward over.

McAtee recovers as United wins the ball back, and fires an opportunity narrowly wide.

  17. 'This is what United needed in the first half'published at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

    Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

This has been a good start for Sheffield United in this second half, on the front foot, causing problems. This is what they needed in the first half.

Why does it always take 45 minutes to get going when you are a goal down?

@Robnoady: I'll ask the same question I ask every time some calls for a manager to be sacked: Who are you replacing him with? Who is seriously going to come to Sheffield United and do a better job that the club can realistically afford?

@paddybrennan: Sheffield United are so down at this point that even a mashup of Sam Allardyce and Neil Warnock couldn't save them

  19. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

Decent start to the second half for the visitors, they win another corner as an Anel Ahmedhodzic shot is blocked.

    It comes to nothing, though.

Let’s not let Dyer vs Bowyer Pt II mask the fact that Wolves have been superb again. They have remoulded their team since Nuno and are having yet another fabulous season in the Premier League.
