    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Tannadice

This is quite a game - Morton looked to be on easy street in a match that looked like it was going to become the George Oakley show.

But that Kai Fotheringham headed goal has handed United a much needed lifeline.

    Alexander King

Ian McCall's men running riot in at New Douglas Park. Best of the bunch as Alexander King scores from distance.

    Ayr United 0-1 Inverness

    Jane Lewis
    BBC Scotland at Somerset Park

That was ICT's first shot at goal, Ayr might be feeling a little hard done by.

Before McKay took advantage of an Albinson slip up, Mark Ridgers had been by far the more busy of the keepers, keeping a few Ayr United chances at bay

  8. Hosts lead but deserved?published at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January

    Partick Thistle 1-0 Arbroath

    Martin Dowden
    BBC Scotland at Firhill

Kris Doolan will be delighted to be ahead, especially with the top two currently trailing, however it has to be said Arbroath have been the side making far more consistent impact in the final third so far.

They've lacked that clinical moment but can be satisfied that they are creating opportunities to get back in this. They do look slightly susceptible to the counter attack though.
