This is well worth a few seconds of your time. Watch Andre Gomes' spectacular free-kick - Everton's first goal since 27 December.

    HT: Bristol Rovers 1-0 Norwich

Five attempts. Three on target. And the lead.

Bristol Rovers might be 11th in League One but they have the lead against their opponents from the Championship.

It's a bitterly cold night but the home fans at the Memorial Stadium love what they saw from their side in the first half.

Will they keep it up and earn a trip to Liverpool?

  4. 'Blackpool haven't defended their box well enough'published at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January

    HT: Blackpool 0-1 Nottingham Forest

    Charlie Adam
Former Blackpool midfielder and current Fleetwood Town manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

If you don't defend set plays well then that can lose you a game, and that is what has happened to Blackpool so far.

The game has been pretty even in terms of chances but they haven't defended their box well enough. Blackpool have been vulnerable with most of the set plays Forest have sent into the box.

You can run and chase but if you don't defend your box well you won't have a chance to get anything out of the game.

  5. Set-pieces Blackpool's best chance of success?published at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January

    HT: Blackpool 0-1 Nottingham Forest

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Bloomfield Road

Premier League Nottingham Forest deservedly go in with the lead but while it's only 1-0 will still be nervous.

Blackpool's best chances have come in the first and last 90 seconds of the half, with not too much attacking play in between.

If Blackpool are to get back in this it may well need to come from a set piece, but at the moment Forest are ahead and doing what they need to do.

Absoutely love the FA cup replays - as a Newcastle fan, I'm begging for the lower league teams to create an upset. Keep the replays! Gives me a wonderful reason to put studying to the side for a few nights!

    Megan, Dundee

Stop messing with traditions - of course FA Cup replays must stay, it’s part of the romance. And while we’re at it, 3rd round day is one of the great days in the football calendar - so let’s keep it at that , and not 3rd round week like this year.

Chris from Chester (but currently in Bogota)

Get rid of replays but if teams from different leagues get drawn together, the team in the lower league gets to play at home. That way they get the revenue and the higher ranked team are more likely to play a stronger side.

Ross: It doesn’t help the argument that replays are good for teams outside of the premier league when their own fans don’t bother to turn up to the games. Where are the Blackpool fans tonight? Bit too cold for them?

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January

    Everton 1-0 Crystal Palace

Everton have a goal - and the lead - thanks to Andre Gomes.

  10. 'There are more goals in this for Forest'published at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January

    HT: Blackpool 0-1 Nottingham Forest

    Charlie Adam
Former Blackpool midfielder and current Fleetwood Town manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

If I was Nuno I would be really calm, the composure Forest have shown in the game and the control they have had has been good.

Good defensive shape, good discipline. There are no real issues from Blackpool aside from that earlier set play.

If they keep the ball, keep it simple, and work their way up the pitch they can really score some more goals here.

  11. CLOSE!published at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January

    Bristol Rovers 1-0 Norwich

Big chance for Rovers to make it 2-0!

Luke Thomas with a right-footed attempt that flashes agonisingly wide.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January

    Blackpool 0-1 Nottingham Forest

So far, so good for Forest.

They will visit Bristol City in round four as it stands.

  13. CLOSE!published at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January

    Blackpool 0-1 Nottingham Forest

    Blackpool's best chance!

A long throw causes chaos in the Forest area, the ball squirms to Marvin Ekpiteta on the right of the box and he fires it back across the face of goal.

It's just too far in front of Jordan Rhodes for the striker to get a touch.

Nuno Tavares' flat corner has to be well headed away by Marvin Ekpiteta, who was facing his own goal.

Nicolas Dominguez advances onto the second ball, but slams a shot over from the edge of the area.

  16. Underdogs struggling to create chancespublished at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January

    Blackpool 0-1 Nottingham Forest

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Bloomfield Road

"We'll sing on our own," taunt the Nottingham Forest fans, as the visitors have silenced the home supporters.

The Premier League side have not been threatened too much since that goal, but still need the comfort of another.

Blackpool have worked hard but been unable to create chances since Albie Morgan fired wide from 25 yards inside the opening 90 seconds.

Still, it's only 0-1 and there's plenty of time for some drama.

  17. Postpublished at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January

    Blackpool 0-1 Nottingham Forest

Forest rather have Blackpool where they want them. They are sitting deeper now, inviting the League One side to come onto them and leave space in behind.

Neil Critchley has much to think about before his half time team talk.

    That's well worth waiting for!

Jefferson Lerma concedes a free-kick about 20 yards out and picks up a booking for his troubles.

Andre Gomes steps up and places it beautifully past Sam Johnstone and into the net.

    A wonder goal.
