  1. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 101 mins

    Nigeria 1-1 South Africa

Leicester striker Kelechi Iheanacho and Southampton midfielder Joe Aribo are brought on inside the first half of extra time.

It's Iheanacho's first involvement in the tournament after suffering a thigh injury before the competition. How fit is he? Will he be the Nigeria hero?

He's not played any football since coming in on as a second-half substitute for Leicester in their 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town on Boxing Day.

    Well, who saw that coming?

Both teams gathered around the water coolers during the short break, desperately glugging down the fluids following that remarkable finish, with Nigeria in a tighter circle around Jose Peseiro while South Africa were more spread out and in a number of small clusters.

Yet another amazing finish to a game at this tournament and we go again for extra-time.

    Afcon that.

    Nigeria 1-1 South Africa

We thought this would be the winning goal, but it wasn't. Watch William Troost-Ekong score the first of the two penalties we have had so far.

We could have a lot more penalties to come too.

Former Manchester City defender on BBC Two

To see a team go two goals ahead late on and then have the lead wiped out and brought back for an equaliser to their opponent is incredible.

Nigeria's players must have gone through such a rollercoaster of emotions in those minutes. I don't think that they have recovered since then.

  12. Peseiro's lucky jacket?published at 18:59 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February

    Nigeria 1-1 South Africa

    Ian Williams
BBC Sport Africa at Stade de la Paix, Bouake

Jose Peseiro is fun to watch at this tournament.

He has an enormous technical area to patrol here in Bouake so I would love to know what his step count is today.

The Super Eagles boss must know people are watching because he refuses to take off his smart jacket, even though it means he has to constantly mop the sweat from his brow with a towel.

After the quarter-final win a journalist asked if it was a lucky jacket.

    FT: Nigeria 1-1 South Africa

    Efan Ekoku
Former Nigeria striker on BBC Two

The most relieved man in the stadium will be Nwabili. How has he not pushed that free kick around the post?

And no one can believe that Mudau has not put the rebound in from yards out.

  16. WHAT A MISSpublished at 90+6 mins

    Nigeria 1-1 South Africa

And South Africa so nearly win it in the sixth minute of added time.

Stanley Nwabali can only parry the ball and it falls straight to Khuliso Mudau.

All he has to do is hit the target from eight yards out and it is surely a winner.

But he blazes it over the bar! What a miss. That was for a place in the final.

    Nigeria 1-1 South Africa

It's a great penalty from Teboho Mokoena.

Struck with venom, the goalkeeper gambles one way and the ball goes the other.

Just highlights the important save from Ronwen Williams minutes earlier. If Ademola Lookman scores it is game over. Now they are level!

GOAL - Nigeria 1-1 South Africapublished at 90 mins

    Teboho Mokoena

What a crazy, crazy few minutes.

Nigeria think they have got a second, with Victor Osimhen putting the ball in the net.

But after a VAR review, the referee not only cancels out the goal, but then awards South Africa a penalty for a foul, before Nigeria's subsequent counter-attack.

In the last minute of normal time, Teboho Mokoena steps up to smash the ball into the net.

We're level and heading for extra time. Unbelievable.
