Absolutely shocking start for Swansea City.

Amazing play from David Brooks, he's taken a great touch to take it beyond Humphreys and lay it into the path of Alex Scott. Great goal.

That was a really coolly taken goal. David Brooks took his man on the outside, picked out Alex Scott, who did his bit.

    Alex Scott

Easy for Bournemouth, nightmare start for Swansea.

It's a second assist of the night for David Brooks, who latches on to a long ball, scampers down the right wing and pulls the ball back for the onrushing Alex Scott, who finishes confidently.

There's a VAR check for offside against Brooks - but the goal stands.

    Bournemouth are coasting already.

    Bournemouth 1-0 Swansea

    John Williams
Former Bournemouth defender on BBC Radio Solent

What a finish, it was a fantastic ball. But the Swansea City defending was shocking.

They've had a nightmare. So many conversations going on, everyone looking at each other.

How does someone who's 6ft 2in end up on the far post with no one 10 yards around him?

    Iwan Roberts

It's a magnificent finish, but it's shocking defending at the back post, there's not a white shirt near him.

    Lloyd Kelly

    A perfect start for Bournemouth!

David Brooks swings in a free-kick deep from the left towards the back post and Swansea's Bashir Humphreys makes the ill-judged decision to leave the ball.

Lloyd Kelly reads it and, sliding in to hit the ball on the half-volley, the Cherries defender rifles his shot into the top far corner.

Swansea look like a team that are trying to play out but aren't totally convinced it's the right way to play.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Swansea

Bournemouth venture forward for the first time with Alex Scott and David Brooks exchanging a couple of neat passes.

The ball is eventually worked into Dominic Solanke, whose shot is blocked by Kyle Naughton, who then heads Scott's cross out for a corner.

  10. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Swansea

Confident start from Swansea, who pass their way out of defence and all the way from their own penalty area to Bournemouth's - but the attack fizzles out.

I think it's going to be a tough night (for Swansea). You get the sense Bournemouth feel they can go quite far in this competition.

They're starting with their main man Dominic Solanke up top, you can tell how serious Bournemouth are taking this competition.

Bournemouth coach Andoni Iraola on S4C: "It's difficult to choose the starting 11 but we've picked a strong team, at full-back we're struggling with injuries but it's a team we feel will be competitive today.

"We don't know how Swansea will play tonight, they have picked a number of technically gifted players, players with high quality and we'll have to be aggressive to win the ball.

"We lost 4-0 here at home the other day and we need to improve from the second half performance but most importantly we want to get to the next round."

Swansea City coach Luke Williams on S4C: "We have experience in there and some youth in and around them as well. We have a squad of players I'm still trying to get eyes on and I'm happy to see some of them on the pitch.

"There were some encouraging signs in the second half against Southampton who I'm pretty sure will be in the same league as Bournemouth next season so if we can carry on from there that'll be brilliant.

"We're going to have to play at a top level and hope they're under par, but that's the glory of the cup that can happen."

Former Swansea player Lee Trundle on S4C:

"I think this will be another game for Luke Williams to see what he's got, it's going to be a tough test against a Premier League side but the players have to go out there and enjoy the occasion.

"Williams wants to bring back that attacking football and possession based and the players are reacting really well to him."
