No immediate response from West Brom, who were probably the better team until then.

C'mon me babbies. Docherty to Neto... GOAL!!!!

    Jim

That corner from West Brom is stupid. Trying be clever clipping it to edge of area rather than putting it in box and they pay for it with Wolves intercepting and breaking away to score.

And that is Premier League quality for you.

Alex Mowatt tried to find Jed Wallace 20 yards out direct from a West Brom corner, didn't quite get it right and West Brom are a goal down.

Matt Doherty spotted what was coming, stepped in to intercept and set Pedro Neto on his way.

Two flares set off in the visiting section amid the celebrations.

Wolves caught them on the counter attack and I said before the game Pedro Neto could be the difference between the two teams.

It was a brilliant finish, we know he can do that.

If there's a way to guarantee the other team counter attack, it's to float a half-hearted cross to the edge of the box. Such a lazy corner and we've paid the price. Terrible.

  6. goal

GOAL - West Brom 0-1 Wolvespublished at 38 mins

    Pedro Neto

West Brom have a corner and a few seconds later Wolves are ahead.

Matt Doherty, on the edge of his box, cuts out the corner and carries it forward before playing it out right to Pedro Neto.

Neto cuts in, drifts past a defender or two too easily, and then slots a shot into the bottom corner from 20 yards.

This game needs a goal. It's like a game of chess at the minute.

Lovely flick by Matt Doherty in the build-up and Matheus Cunha's cross is put behind by Cedric Kipre. Not miles away from an own goal but just a corner.

West Brom have willing runners from the flanks, they want to ask questions of Wolves.

With Wolves, everything is to feet and no one wants to run in behind.

Darnell Furlong's long throw caused a real scramble in the Wolves box, with no-one seemingly able to take control of the situation.

There has been a sharpness to West Brom's play, which have given their attacks a sense of purpose whereas Wolves appear to trying to force themselves on the hosts with more passing and possession.

There is lots to like about the contrast in style even if goal threats are sporadic.

Absolute mayhem in the Wolves area from a long Darnell Furlong throw-in but the ball just won't drop at an Albion boot to get a proper shot in.

I think the Wolves players need to give themselves another 25% because they're playing within themselves here.

Tommy Doyle is the only player in a Wolves shirt who takes a risk.

I'm surprised West Brom haven't closed him down faster.

West Brom are not frightened to put the ball in the box and sometimes they have two, three players in there.

    There's nothing between these two.

West Brom captain Jed Wallace beats Toti too easily down the right and finds John Swift, whose shot is blocked by Craig Dawson. He screams for a penalty but the ball hit Dawson's torso, not arm. No VAR in this one anyway.

We were winning all the second balls initially, I hope the press comes back because right now Wolves are getting on the ball too easily.
