    Sheff Utd 2-3 Brighton

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

It's a clear penalty, I'm surprised VAR missed it at the time.

  2. 'Joao Pedro is playing with real confidence'published at 16:23 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Sheff Utd 2-3 Brighton

Joao Pedro is playing with real confidence. It puts Sheffield United back behind, having worked so hard to get back in.

To concede a third like that is a proper powder puff. There's still plenty of time and intent in this game.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Everton 1-1 Luton Town

Another outstanding stop by Joao Virginia!

Elijah Adebayo is played through one-on-one but the Everton stopper springs across to his left to push the ball away.

  4. goal

GOAL - Sheff Utd 2-3 Brightonpublished at 16:20 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Joao Pedro (52 mins, pen)

It doesn't take much to change a game and now Brighton are back in front!

Joao Pedro scores his second goal of the afternoon from the spot.

Can Brighton hang on to the lead this time?

  5. 'Momentum has swung completely in Everton's favour'published at 16:20 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Everton 1-1 Luton Town

    Izzy Christiansen
Former Everton and England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

    Everton needed that.

They needed a catalyst to get the crowd up and behind them. You can see and feel that the momentum has swung completely in their favour now.

It is going to take a big effort for Luton to battle back into this one.

  6. Postpublished at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Sheff Utd 2-2 Brighton

    Will Perry
    Football commentator on Final Score

Brighton were absolutely cruising into the fifth round at one point. Bramall Lane is bouncing, it's a very different game in the second half.

  7. PENALTYpublished at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Sheff Utd 2-2 Brighton

Another penalty to Brighton after a Jayden Bogle handball.

    His arm was outstretched.

Great spot from the referee Sunny Sukhvir Gill.

  8. 'An awful mistake from Krul'published at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Everton 1-1 Luton Town

    Izzy Christiansen
Former Everton and England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

That is an awful mistake from Krul.

A comfortable save and the ball has just slipped through his hands into the back of the net.

We said moments earlier that both sides look vulnerable on the transition and Everton there punishing Luton for being slow.

Mengi let Harrison cut inside and the ball ended up in the back of the net.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Leeds 1-0 Plymouth

    Plymouth make two changes.

On: Matt Butcher and Mustapha Bundu

Off: Caleb Roberts and Callum Wright

    Jack Harrison (55 mins)

A big, big error from Tim Krul - and Everton are level!

Jack Harrison tries his luck with a low hit as he runs towards the penalty area, Krul gets across to it but makes a complete mess of the save. The Luton players can only watch as the ball squeezes underneath the Hatters goalkeeper.

  11. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:15 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Leicester 1-0 Birmingham City

Jamie Vardy believes he has his second of the half as he goes past John Ruddy and slots in to an open goal, but the linesman raises his flag.

Vardy isn't happy. It looks very, very tight. But no VAR here, so on we go.

  12. Postpublished at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Everton 0-1 Luton

    Betty Glover
    Reporter on Final Score

The second half has been mostly Everton, they've come out fighting. I'd love to know what Sean Dyche said to them at half-time.

  13. 'A wonderful save'published at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Everton 0-1 Luton Town

    Izzy Christiansen
Former Everton and England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's a wonderful save from Virginia.

McNeil might have been on the line as well but Virginia had to be safe there and get a big right hand to it.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Everton 0-1 Luton Town

Tim Krul is proving rather unpopular with the Everton supporters as he continues to take his time on goal-kicks.

Oh, what a save that is!

Down the other end, Joao Virginia produces a stunning reaction stop from Carlton Morris' header. He seemed to hang in mid-air for an age as he clawed that one away.

  15. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:12 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Sheff Utd 2-2 Brighton

Back under way at Bramall Lane.

Surely neither side will want a replay so hopefully that means more goals.

  16. Postpublished at 16:11 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Leicester 1-0 Birmingham City

    Andy Stevenson
    BBC TV presenter and commentator

It's a good header from Jamie Vardy but the goal is all down to the cross from the right from Marc Albrighton.

  17. 'Everton need to give more service to Beto and Calvert-Lewin'published at 16:11 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Everton 0-1 Luton Town

    Izzy Christiansen
Former Everton and England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Everton don't seem like they have changed anything in terms of system at half time.

Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have caused havoc up front at times for them but Everton have struggled to get enough clean passes through to them. They'll be hoping to improve that in this second half.

  18. Postpublished at 16:11 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Leeds 1-0 Plymouth

Wilfried Gnonto races towards goal but Brendan Galloway's important interception stops him in his tracks.

  19. Postpublished at 16:11 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2024

    Leicester 1-0 Birmingham City

Keshi Anderson has had no shortage of opportunities so far today, but he continues to waste them. His latest flies well over. It's proving to be one of those afternoons for Birmingham City's forwards.

Amazed that after 5 games of the 4th round completed the only 2 teams actually in the 5th round draw are Man City and... Maidstone United!! Got to love the magic of the cup.

    Sy from St Anne's

Not quite, as Bournemouth of course made it through on Thursday - but a fine achievement for Maidstone nonetheless!
