  2. McInnes bemoans red cardpublished at 17:56 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    FT: Kilmarnock 2-2 Hibernian

Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes thinks the red card showed to Corrie Nbada turned the game in Hibs' favour.

"After the first 20 minutes, we were very strong," he tells BBC Scotland. "We finished the first half in a good place. We scored a few good goals, could have had another.

"Joe Newell's goal has come out of nothing. I could see it develop and it's an unbelievable finish. It gave them hope and inspiration that they might get something.

"The game changes on the red card. I'm disappointed with the decision. I can only assume the referee and VAR have seen a worse angle than what I've seen.

"Corrie's won the ball, he's not high, his foot is low. I was frustrated when the referee gave a yellow card. I don't think there's anything else he can do with his foot after he's won the ball.

"Nick Walsh is one of our best referees, so he must have seen a different angle. Grant Irvine is three yard from the incident. He has a chance to assess it.

"It's so disappointing that, from a winning position, VAR has played it's part in us only getting a point."

  3. 'Players were magnificent' - Adamspublished at 17:54 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    FT: Celtic 1-0 Ross County

Ross County manager Derek Adams is delighted at the way the squad he has rebuilt during January tested the Premiership leaders.

"It doesn't happen many times that a team comes here and has such good opportunities," he tells BBC Scotland. "We hit the bar, Joe Hart makes a great save towards the end and, on another day, we could have done better.

"I thought my players were magnificent today. Their work ethic - in and out of possession, they were very good. To come here and cause the Celtic crowd to panic a wee bit was what we tried to do.

"It's a change around in the squad, but they handled the ball well on a big occasion and that's never easy coming here.

"What we take from the game is how well we were organised, how well we played on the counter-attack and the chances we created."

Adams' signings have not finished and he adds: "We will try to add if we can before the end of the window. I can't see anybody leaving."

  4. Draw 'a step back', says Leveinpublished at 17:51 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    FT: St Johnstone 1-1 Motherwell

St Johnstone manager Craig Levein says the draw with Motherwell was "disappointing".

"I can't fault our effort at all, particularly since we played midweek and Motherwell had a free midweek," he tells BBC Sport Scotland.

"We fought and worked really hard, we just didn't play as well as we could. We had chances, but so did Motherwell. I can't remember the keepers doing a lot.

"We didn't play as well as we could, but at least we've dug in and got another point and it's another point that will help us at the end of the season."

  5. 'My god, they stood up today' - Dochertypublished at 17:50 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    FT: Livingston 1-4 Dundee

Dundee manager Tony Docherty is proud of his side's maturity and heaves praise on debutant Michael Mellon.

"I think we have performed better, but it was a thoroughly satisfactory result," he tells BBC Scotland. "In the first half we never quite got to grips with the game - maybe it was the change of shape.

"In the second half, there was a real resilience. I asked my players to stand up today and, my god, they stood up. I'm really proud of them.

"I thought Michael Mellon had an outstanding debut. The kid came on for, I think, 30 minutes and he's got two assists and a goal."

  6. Robson 'angry' at players' responsepublished at 17:48 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    FT: Aberdeen 2-0 Hearts

Aberdeen manager Barry Robson thinks a questionable disallowed goal and penalty award turned the game against his side but is not happy at his players' attitude thereafter.

"I thought first half we played well," he tells BBC Scotland. "We were the best team and scored a really good goal. For whatever reason, it was cancelled out, another decision that's gone against us.

"Second half, we come out still 0-0 and first 10 or 15 minutes were were the team doing all the attacking and playing well - and then you get a penalty against you.

"We can't coach that. He's tried to pull his hand back in and it's hit it. The bit I'm angry about is us as a team after that.

"When you go a goal down, you have got to be better. If you go a goal down, you see out the next five minutes and go again."

As for catching Hearts in third, Robson adds: "It's a really tall order, I get that. But me as a person and this football club will keep fighting on."

  7. McGregor's 450 Celtic games 'incredible'published at 17:44 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    FT: Celtic 1-0 Ross County

Brendan Rodgers is full of praise for Callum McGregor after the captain and Scotland midfielder chalked up his 450th club appearance.

"Tremendous," the Celtic manager tells BBC Scotland. "At a club like this, it's remarkable.

"Having been here the first time and seeing what he did for me then and how he was developing and growing to come back this time and see him as the leader of the club and catalyst for the group, I am really lucky to have him here.

"He's a great player and could have graced any top league. The teams I managed in the Premier League, which is deemed to be the best league in the world, he could have played for any of those teams.

"But he wanted to stay here and to come through the academy and play 450 games is just incredible."

  8. Montgomery proud of side in transitionpublished at 17:42 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    FT: Kilmarnock 2-2 Hibernian

Hibernian head coach Nick Montgomery tis "so proud" of his side's efforts in their draw at Rugby Park.

"It's not an easy place to come and I thought for 20 minutes we were in total control," he tells BBC Scotland. "There was only one team playing football.

"We have to be better at stopping the cross for the first goal. We lost composure, confidence has been fragile lately and that's understandable.

"Against the run of play we concede a second. There's two options after that - you can keep fighting, which I know these boys will do, and keep believing. After that, it was total domination.

"We have so many new players. Marcondes was outstanding. Myziane - you can see his quality. At this club right now, there's a transition."

  9. 'Nothing wrapped up in January' - Naismithpublished at 17:39 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    FT: Hearts 2-0 Aberdeen

Hearts manager Steven Naismith describes the win over Aberdeen as "eventful".

"There wasn't much between the sides," he says of the first half. "They were really aggressive, up man for man and we came out second best.

"We tweaked a bit at half-time, we start quite well and get a penalty, which I think is a penalty in this day and age. It's unfortunate, but it is a penalty.

"And that just settled us. We played good in the second half. It was two, but it could have been more."

However, thinking of his side's lead in third place, he adds: "Nothing is wrapped up in January. But we're going well. Our form and stats record are good, but we can be better."

  10. Rodgers laments missed penaltiespublished at 17:31 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    FT: Celtic 1-0 Ross County

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers considered it "a good result" despite only beating County by a single goal scored in the early minutes.

"These can be tough games and we maybe made it a bit more difficult when we miss the penalties," he tells BBC Scotland.

"We made a great start with the early goal, which was really good, we force errors from them to get the penalties and I think the penalties maybe took a bit out the crowd and the team as well.

"The second half was much better. We created opportunities but didn't take them and didn't concede many, but in any game that's 1-0 there can be a bit of anxiety, but the players handled it well."
