Fair play to Erin Cuthbert, putting her hands up.

She was caught in possession just before Manchester City's goal.

  4. 'I will own my mistake and dust myself down'published at 21:56 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Chelsea

Chelsea captain Erin Cuthbert speaking to BBC Sport: "I think small margins in the game. We created enough chances near the ned and they were backs against the wall but it is hard when you are pushing against a team like City. They defended well and unfortunately it wasn't enough tonight.

"It's the Chelsea way. It is my mistake and I will own that and know that when I come back off the international break and be raring to go. If there is one thing I will do is dust myself down and come back after the international break, and we will be ready."

  5. City will be talked about in title race nowpublished at 21:53 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Emma Sanders
    BBC Sport at Kingsmeadow

Manchester City defender Greenwood said her side were "not being talked about as much" in the title race prior to their trip to Kingsmeadow - but they certainly will be now.

City have taken four points off Chelsea this season, including a 1-1 draw at home when they were down to nine players following two contentious red cards.

They have been in excellent form since November, winning eight WSL matches in a row - the longest current run of any team.

And while City's latest victory did not match the level of drama on display in the last meeting between these two sides, it could have a significant bearing on where the trophy ends up this season.

Strong words Dom. Chelsea are still the reigning champions, and still the league leaders. They have the know-how.

But let's see what our women's football expert Emma has to say...

Dom, Manchester: City are deserved favourites now. That result is justice from the first game at City and Greenwood gets POTM after a red card last time. Champions elect? I think so.

  8. 'You can't win them all, it's football'published at 21:46 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Chelsea

More from Chelsea manager Emma Hayes speaking to BBC Sport: "We can't win them all. It is football. I didn't think they opened up and created many big chances. I think it was one that we gifted them.

"I think we lacked the top things that you want to have when you are playing against the top sides.

"Yes, you might have equalised, or got the penalty or not had a square-ball turnover in the first half, but this is how football matches are settled and you have to accept them."

  9. 'We didn't have that cutting-edge when it mattered'published at 21:43 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Chelsea

Chelsea manager Emma Hayes speaking to BBC Sport: "We gave away a goal that is a poor goal on our part and then you don't get many big chances in these games and then when you get them - I think one is a penalty and they missed that and then that big chance at the end.

"That could easily have been a 0-0 game but it is an error. I am not putting that on Erin [Cuthbert] because she has been absolutely superb this year and will be beating herself up about that but these things happen.

"Second half we were totally dominant and just didn't have that cutting-edge when it mattered."

    Ellen White
Former England striker on BBC Two

Her maturity and that double save at the end to keep man City in the game [are really impressive].

She has been phenomenal for Man City this season. She has put her body on the line and really grown into this role as Manchester City's no.1. She's still only 19.

  14. 'It's a big step for us'published at 21:32 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Gareth Taylor on BBC Two: "I think you have to give great credit to the way we defended as a team. I think we were throwing bodies at it.

"I didn't enjoy the second half, I have to be honest. We know we can look after the ball better than that but I can't criticise. We have such a desire to keep clean sheets. It is a big step for us.

"It is my first win here. They made it a bit of a fortress. We have broken that record now and we deserved it.

"We played some good stuff in the first half and in the latter stages it was really good show of defending from the entire team."

  15. 'Man City were right to stick with Gareth Taylor'published at 21:29 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Fara Williams
Former England midfielder on BBC Two

They are rebuilding and I think it took last season to rebuild. I feel like we know Jill Roord brought something extra to this team, but that time that they have spent together and the consistency has really helped them.

It shows that they were right to stick with Gareth Taylor.

  16. 'We've always had what it takes'published at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City defender Alex Greenwood on BBC Two: "Relieved, delighted, so glad when the final whistles went. Unbelievable character from the team, to come here and do that, it's unbelievable.

"We showed two different sides of us. We defended when we could. But we remain humble now. We stick together.

"We go away on international break now. There's eight games to go, we need to stay focused and go again.

"We've recovered really well. We've got a really honest group of girls who recover well and do the right things."

Can City win the title?: "I think we've always had what it takes. For us it's staying humble. We do what we do and we stay focused. We should enjoy this. Then we go again."

  17. 'City know how to soak up pressure'published at 21:24 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Fara Williams
Former England midfielder on BBC Two

[Shaw] is in great form. She has picked up where she left off in terms of goals but today she was brilliant.

They know how to stay compact and soak up pressure and get the result. I think it was the first time in 55 games at home that Chelsea haven't scored so for Manchester City to come here and do that is a huge achievement.

  18. 'It's a mentality shift for City'published at 21:21 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Ellen White
Former England striker on BBC Two

It's a mentality shift for Manchester City. They feel confident and believe they can come to Kingsmeadow and beat Chelsea.

I said I wanted to see more from them in the second half but what we saw was more game management.

  19. Postpublished at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

City's players can't quite believe it, they're all smiles at full-time.

Chelsea are in one big huddle with Emma Hayes leading a debrief.

  20. 'Huge win for City'published at 21:17 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Chelsea and England defender on BBC Two

It's an absolutely huge result for Manchester City. They knew they needed to get something from the game to stop Chelsea from running away with it but they have done superbly to get the win.

For me, they won it in the first half with the press.
