I said earlier on about Aleixandri getting drawn into a fight with Lauren James.

She does it there and gets drawn out and then Fran Kirby gets in space in behind. Someone has to drop in because Aleixandri is getting drawn into this individual battle, and you can't do it.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 35 mins

    Chelsea 0-1 Man City

Chelsea's best chance, and it falls to Fran Kirby!

Lauren James draws three players around her before shipping the ball to Mayra Ramírez who plays in Kirby.

The forward strikes a crisp effort, destined for the far corner, but City keeper Khiara Keating tips it behind.

Love seeing Jess Park getting in this team, playing centrally, and producing as a creative force. Hard to get in the England mix as a wide forward, but new options desperately needed in the middle. Hope Sarina's paying attention.

At first viewing from where we're sat, we couldn't tell if that was a penalty or not.

But we've seen replays and I think Chelsea have got good reason to be frustrated by that decision not to award a penalty...

Alex Greenwood looked to have clipped Mayra Ramirez.

    Oh, now then!

Alex Greenwood loses possession to Chelsea striker Mayra Ramírez who drives forward.

The Colombian is about to unleash a shot from a tight angel when she appears to be caught from behind by Greenwood, sprinting back.

Referee Abi Byrne says no penalty.

Any team who comes up against Chelsea knows that there is space in behind their full-backs because of how high they try and get forward.

Ashley Lawrence and then Charles on the other side too. It's then about exploiting that space.

Chelsea's defence are doubling up on Khadija Shaw, and it's giving City's wingers loads of room.

Lauren Hemp dinks a ball over for Shaw, but Chelsea stopper Hannah Hampton is quick off her line to smother any danger.

It's fair to say Khadija Shaw has had a big impact on this game so far. Her movement is causing big problems.

    "Switch it. Swiiiiiiitch it!!!"

Manchester City manager Gareth Taylor wants his side to up the tempo.

On the pitch, City keeper Khiara Keating is quick off her line to sweep up a ball over the top.

Manchester City are building up patiently. Chelsea can't lay a glove.

What are we witnessing? The champions have offered practically nothing so far.

BIG save from Hannah Hampton. There's arguably no better shotstopper in the league in that position.

I was really impressed by Jess Park last week and it's the same tonight. It's a great ball through to Shaw and that's a big stop from Hannah Hampton in the Chelsea goal.

    Should be 2-0 City!

This is brilliant work again from Jess Park who skips beyond two and slips in Khadija Shaw, but the goalscorer is kept out by a brilliant save from Hannah Hampton, rushing off her line.
