For me, I would get Lauren James into the centre of the pitch. I think she has been pretty non-existent in this game.

I think you could bring Ramirez off and move James into that no.10 position and get her on the ball more.

I can explain that one Mark. Basically I messed up earlier.

You're right, I'm wrong. Maths was never my thing.

If City win 2-0, they go top.

Why is everyone saying City need to win 3-0 to go above Chelsea on GD. Both on +28 so if City score one more they go to +29 and Chelsea down to +27

And again City come. Laura Coombs has a go but her effort is easily caight by Hannah Hampton.

This match is opening up now. At the other end Guro Reiten's cutback is intercepted by City keeper Khiara Keating with Fran Kirby lurking behind the stopper.

A chance for Chelsea? Nope, not this time.

A wide Erin Cuthbert free-kick is spilled by City keeper Khiara Keating, but she gathers at the second attempt.

Chloe Kelly is booked for a cynical, late tackle.

It's all getting a bit tense.

First booking of the game. Chelsea captain Erin Cuthbert gets a yellow for a late challenge on Yui Hasegawa.

On the break, Man City almost double their lead.

Defender Leila Ouahabi is given an age to put in a cross and the Spaniard finds Khadija Shaw in the middle whose low header goes just wide.

    A warning.

Manchester City have completely changed their tactics. Suddenly it's a low-block with everyone behind the ball.

Chelsea's Mayra Ramírez gets around Alex Greenwood but her cross is blocked.

The most in-form player in the WSL, right?

England are a better team with Parris.

Thank you Alex Scott and Fara Williams for recognising that Nikita Parris deserved an England call up. Thoroughly disappointed in the way her improvement has been overlooked.

    So nearly already for Chelsea.

Lauren James bursts down the right and her cross is just over City keeper Khiara Keating, but a forward in Blue can't tap in at the back post.

Whenever I have watched Chelsea, if they have had a bad first half, they come out a different team in the second half.

Emma Hayes will tell her team what they need to hear and then they come out a completely different team.

I think City will expect Chelsea to be better, so they have to come out and hit another level in this second half.

The players are back on the pitch now.

Meant to say earlier, Chelsea posed for a photo before tonight's game, with a clear message.

Love to see it, and repping the Bi-pride colours too, purple and blue.

  17. 'Greenwood does clip Ramirez'published at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

    HT: Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Ellen White
Former England striker on BBC Two

I think she does clip her.

I think it was a penalty but it is so hard for the ref. I don't want to judge the ref but I think it is difficult.

She doesn't need to lunge in, she could have held off and let Ramirez mix up her feet and get a goal kick.

  18. 'Fran Kirby needs to show a little more conviction'published at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

    HT: Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Fara Williams
Former England midfielder on BBC Two

I think she can see the run but then hesitates to make it. She gets into some really good posiitons.

I don't think she is showing enough conviction in the attacking areas. A Fran Kirby who has been playing regularly takes that chance.

I think the connection between her and Lawrence and Lauren James is quite working at the moment.

Maren Mjelde and Sophie Ingle both went down the tunnel with the starting XI, but the rest of the Chelsea substitutes stayed on the pitch to warm-up.

Ingle and Mjelde have just come back out to join them though.

Did they go inside to receive instructions and might we be seeing them soon? They might have just gone inside for a brew!

  20. 'Park is impressing off the ball'published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

    HT: Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Fara Williams
Former England midfielder on BBC Two

For someone so young fitting into this Manchester City team isn't easy.

Jess Park is really aggressive in the press and it sets her team on her way. We all know about her flair but what we haven't seen is her off-the-ball play.
