    This wasn't in the script!

Southampton - unbeaten in 25 games in all competitions - are behind.

Anis Mehmeti does well on the right hand side who cut in and he goes for the one-two. He's in an offside position but Saints' Will Smallbone is the one who gets his foot in the way and the winger is kept onside.

He gets past Ryan Manning and drills the ball across the face, with Sam Bell tapping home to give the hosts the lead.

    Brirstol City 0-0 Southampton

We're back under way at Ashton Gate but there's a injury delay as Bournemouth loanee David Brooks collides with the back post - it was a loud and nasty one.

Thankfully he's back on his feet and now back on the pitch.

The Saints seeing plenty of early possession in the second half with the travelling fans in full voice.

Stuart Armstrong is on for Shea Charles in a half-time change.

Ryan Hedges picks up the ball as Blackburn try to seize the initiative after almost going a goal down through their own error.

    Norwich 2-1 Watford

Watford have made a bright start to the second half as they chase down the equaliser.

Tom Dele-Bashiru releases Matheus Martins who runs to the by-line and crosses for Ken Sema, but his shot goes wide as a decent chance goes begging.

Norwich are making a double change, with goalscorer Josh Sargent and Onel Hernandez going off to be replaced by Marcelino Nunez and Christian Fassnacht.

    Swansea 0-3 Leeds

Jamie Paterson smashes a decent chance over the crossbar from close range for the home side.

This will be a fourth defeat in five for the Swans.

  7. Bantams battering MK Donspublished at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February

There's a couple of absolute hammerings being handed out in League Two this evening.

Mansfield are now 6-2 up against Harrogate (to be fair, it was actually 6-0 a few minutes ago) and mid-table Bradford City lead MK Dons 4-0 after scoring twice since the break.

  8. 'The best chances have gone to someone named Roberts'published at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February

    Birmingham 0-0 Blackburn

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

Can't quite believe Tyler Roberts hasn't buried that. It was an easier chance than the one earlier.

It's the perfect set-piece. He's on the back of the defender and he's trying to control it. He's berating himself. The three best chances have all gone to somebody called Roberts.

    Birmingham 0-0 Blackburn

How on earth are Birmingham not ahead here?

Blackburn try to play out from the back and Dom Hyam plays back towards Rovers keeper Aynsley Pears who somehow manages to give the ball to Tyler Roberts who makes a run into the box.

But fortunately for the visitors, Roberts scuffs his shot over the bar. What a waste.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:57 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February

    Birmingham 0-0 Blackburn

Blackburn are racing out of the blocks in the second half at Birmingham.

Callum Brittain plays the ball in to the free-scoring Sammie Szmodics whose first time shot forces Blues keeper John Ruddy into a diving save.

    Leicester 2-0 Sheff Wed

    Quick stat for you.

Before tonight Jamie Vardy had failed to score in three starts against Sheffield Wednesday in the Football League.

Only against Hull City (4) has he started more such games without scoring against a specific side.

The Foxes visit the Tigers in March and you can imagine Vardy is the type of striker who would have that date circled on his calendar.

    Swansea 0-3 Leeds

An apology: I was erroneously saying this would be Leeds' sixth successive league win at the start of the year.

That was on Saturday against Rotherham.

This will be their seventh straight league win in 2024.

    Thank you.

All over in the first half at The Hawthorns.

Mikey Johnston's opening minute strike is all that separates West Brom and Cardiff but the visitors have finished strongly.

All to play for after the break.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February

    Bristol City 0-0 Southampton

No way through for either side at the halfway point at Ashton Gate.

Adam Armstrong had a few sights at goal for the visitors, forcing some good saves from Max O'Leary in the Robins' goal, and Samuel Edozie hit the crossbar.

The home side moved the ball forward well at pace, with Anis Mehmeti carving out a couple chances - most notably having a shot deflected into the side netting.

But no goals to report yet.

  16. Postpublished at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February

    Bristol City 0-0 Southampton

The home side are ending the half strongly.

Joe Williams plays in Hayden Roberts down the left hand side, but the defender's cross deflects in the arms of Gavin Bazunu for a comfortable stop.

Southampton then get the ball up the park to Adam Armstrong, who forces a smart save from Max O'Leary.

And Bristol City break straight up the other end to Anis Mehmeti, whose shot deflects into the side netting. The corner comes to nothing but Robins come again as we enter one minute of added time.

Cardiff continuing to push just before half-time against West Brom.

Josh Wilson-Esbrand fires over the bar as the visitors end the half in a more positive fashion than how they started it.

    Bristol City 0-0 Southampton

Southampton goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu gives the ball away under pressure to Jason Knight in the final third.

But Knight loses his footing and can't make the chance count.

Bristol City have made it very hard for the visitors to play in this opening half at Ashton Gate.

Cardiff with a succession of corners as they look to get back on level terms against West Brom before the break.

Eventually David Turnbull plays through Ryan Wintle, whose shot from distance is blocked away by the hosts.
