That's as far as we go in this lovely (for some) Championship live text on Valentine's Day.

What an impact Jon Worthington has had at Huddersfield since stepping in as caretaker following the sacking of Darren Moore.

It's two wins from three for the ex-Town player after their 1-0 victory over Sunderland tonight and the Terriers are now five points clear of the bottom three.

We'll be back with more EFL live action on Friday when play-off chasing West Brom host Southampton, who will go back up to second with a win.

Thanks, as ever, for your company this evening.

    Cheers.

Good night for Ipswich who ended their poor run of form with a resounding 4-0 win at struggling Millwall and they could yet have a say in the automatic promotion race.

Coventry grabbed a late, late leveller at Plymouth to go back up to sixth and Preston are outside the play-off spots on goal difference alone after they beat Middlesbrough to pick up a third straight success.

Sunderland's awful away form continued as they slipped to a 1-0 loss at Huddersfield. The Black Cats have won just one of their past 11 road games.

It looked like this would be a big night at the bottom end of the Championship and that's exactly how it has proven to be.

Stoke and Huddersfield claimed 1-0 wins over QPR and Sunderland respectively to put a bit more space between themselves and the bottom three.

It was a chastening night for Millwall though.

The Lions were hammered 4-0 at home by Ipswich and are without a league win since 1 January.

That's the end of the Valentine's Day action in the Championship.

Let's take a look at what it's done to the table. We'll start at the bottom.

    FT: Millwall 0-4 Ipswich

    Mick Mills
Former Ipswich and England captain on BBC Radio Suffolk

Comfortable win. I thought Millwall started well but you weren't worried about what they were doing.

Town set up a second half that was a professional's ideal; they could have been passing, moving, exchanging. We didn't seem to want to do that I didn't like anything of the second half except the penalty.

  6. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:59 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Millwall 0-4 Ipswich

The final whistle goes and the referee puts Millwall out of their misery - this game was over long ago.

Nathan Broadhead's opener was followed by a Wes Harding own goal before Kieffer Moore headed in to give the Tractor Boys a three-goal lead at half-time.

The points were safe from that moment on and the away side controlled the second half.

January signing Ali Al-Hamadi then got up to convert from the spot after winning a penalty in added time to round off a great performance for Ipswich.

Good idea to give Al-Hamadi the penalty, a striker needs to get off the mark.

    A decent penalty.

  8. goal

GOAL: Millwall 0-4 Ipswichpublished at 21:54 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Ali Al-Hamadi (90+3 mins)

Substitute Ali Al-Hamadi steps up and rolls the ball calmly into the bottom right corner for his first Championship goal, with Matija Sarkic diving the other way.

Perhaps a little harsh on Millwall as the foul on Al-Hamadi definitely begins outside the box.

Possibly some contact inside the box too, a very close one to call.

Either way, this one is over.

  9. PENALTYpublished at 21:53 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Millwall 0-3 Ipswich

    Penalty to Ipswich!

  10. Postpublished at 21:51 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Millwall 0-3 Ipswich

This has been about as straight-forward as they come for Ipswich.

The Tractor Boys came into the game with just one win in five Championship games but the much-needed victory will take them within one point of third-placed Southampton.

As for Millwall, they're staring down the barrel of a fifth defeat in six games.

Four minutes to be added on at the Den.

  11. Postpublished at 21:48 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Millwall 0-3 Ipswich

George Saville goes into the book for a late challenge on Jeremy Sarmiento in the middle of the park.

Wes Burns goes off to warm applause by the travelling support as he's replaced by Kayden Jackson.

Five minutes plus added time to go and Ipswich in possession again.

  12. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:44 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Stoke 1-0 QPR

It's all over at Stoke and they have held on for an enormous win in the relegation fight, beating QPR 1-0 at the bet365 Stadium.

A captain's goal from Wouter Burger in first-half added time seal the points for the Potters.

The Hoops threw everything at them in the second half but were unable to find the equaliser.

The gap between QPR and safety grows to four points, while Stoke now have a six-point cushion over the Hoops.

  13. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:42 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Preston 2-1 Middlesbrough

Just the three shots on target for the home side but they made them count.

Three wins in a row for Ryan Lowe's men and they're only outside the top six on goal difference.

For Boro, a fourth game without a win leaves them seven points off the play-off places.

  14. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:42 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Huddersfield 1-0 Sunderland

Two wins in three for caretaker Town boss Jon Worthington.

Defender Matty Pearson bundled in after Anthony Patterson spilled Jack Rudoni's shot from a free-kick in the first half.

The away side huffed and puffed in the second half but never really looked like levelling and their wretched away form continues, it's seven points from their past 11 games on the road.

The Terriers are five clear of the relegation zone after completing their first league double over the Black Cats in over 60 years.

  15. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:41 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Plymouth 2-2 Coventry

Coventry grab a point with the last action of the match.

A right old ding-dong in the second half after a goalless opening 45 minutes.

Morgan Whittaker opened the scoring with his 18th of the season before Ellis Simms levelled.

Bobby Thomas put Mikel Miller's cross-shot into his own goal and that looked like it would be enough for the Pilgrims.

However, the away side snatched a share of the spoils in the final moment with a Liam Kitching goal from a free-kick.

The Sky Blues will end the night in sixth.

  16. Postpublished at 21:40 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Plymouth 2-2 Coventry

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

Brilliant effort from the team. They kept going and they kept battling.

  17. Postpublished at 21:40 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Millwall 0-3 Ipswich

More changes for Ipswich with Ali Al-Hamadi and Lewis Travis introduced in place for Kieffer Moore and Massimo Luongo.

A little over 10 minutes to go here, Ipswich are almost there.

  18. goal

GOAL: Plymouth 2-2 Coventrypublished at 21:39 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Liam Kitching (90+6 mins)

    LATE DRAMA!

Victor Torp whips in a free-kick from by the left byline and via a few deflections it is in the net.

Looks like an own goal to be honest but right now it's going down as Liam Kitching's.

  19. Postpublished at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Stoke 1-0 QPR

It's kitchen sink time for QPR - we're into EIGHT minutes of added time at the bet365 Stadium.

Marti Cifuentes has made all five substitutions available, he and his players are throwing everyone forward and going for it!

    Can they find an equaliser?

  20. Postpublished at 21:36 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Millwall 0-3 Ipswich

Conor Chaplin and Jeremy Sarmiento are on for Omari Hutchinson and goalscorer Nathan Broadhead as the Tractor Boys look to see this win out.

No goals in this half but that will suit Ipswich down to the ground.
