It was great – exactly what we all thought it was going to be. When the goal went in, it quietened the crowd. That's exactly what the game plan should have been from Leicester, and they executed it.

Leeds haven't been beaten here all season and Leicester controlled the ball very well. Leeds didn't get much joy with their high press in the first 10-to-15 minutes and changed their plan, which is credit to Leicester.

The referee gave Joe Rodon a yellow card just after the half-time whistle went. Not sure what that was for.

It's been end to end since the opening goal.

Leicester have become the first team to stop Leeds scoring in the first half of a home league game since Coventry on 16 December.

Co-incidentally, that was the also the last time the Whites failed to win here in the Championship.

Their eight-match winning run is in real jeopardy against the table-toppers side, who started brilliantly and have managed the final 15 minutes of this opening half out very well as the hosts grew into it.

The Foxes are 45 minutes from going 12 points clear at the top.

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February

    Leeds 0-1 Leicester

Wout Faes' headed goal has Leicester 1-0 up against Leeds and potentially on the way to re-establishing a 12-point lead at the top of the Championship.

Of course, there are 45 huge minutes to come. But Leeds will have to be more clinical, as they are yet to register a shot on target.

We are into two minutes of added time at the end of the first half now.

Leicester are looking to calm it down and are trying to keep possession to ensure they protect this slender lead.

  6. 'Piroe has been biggest threat'published at 20:45 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February

    Leicester 0-1 Leeds

    Neil Redfearn
Former Leeds manager on BBC Radio Leeds

He's a funny one, Piroe. He goes unnoticed for large parts of the game but seems to get himself right in front of goal.

He's probably Leeds' biggest threat. We've seen Summerville destroy teams but he's only had little moments.

Leicester's recoveries have been brilliant throughout the half. This is a cracking game.

Leeds try everything to find their way through Leicester's wall of blue bodies on the edge of the area.

Joel Piroe, Wilfried Gnonto and Georginio Rutter all had the ball at their feet at one point, but all they could do was pass the ball around until they were eventually crowded out.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:43 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February

    Coventry 0-3 Preston

That first half really couldn't have gone any better for Preston, with Emil Riis giving them a first-minute lead and then setting up a second goal for Will Keane as well as the third, an own goal by Sky Blues defender Bobby Thomas.

Coventry gave their fans a glimmer of cause for optimism during the last 10 minutes of the half, with Callum O'Hare and Ellis Simms both forcing saves from Freddie Woodman - but it'll take something special to turn this around after the break.

  9. 'Winks has class'published at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February

    Leeds 0-1 Leicester

This has been a frantic first half.

Rutter looks a real threat in the number 10 role. You get class from Winks, who can pick a pass.

Maresca is getting as many instructions on to the pitch as he can. I think he's sitting on a stool in front of the first row of seats.

Leicester bodies are hitting the turf in numbers in defence.

James Justin looks to be in a little pain as he stops Wilfried Gnonto, then Harry Winks goes over in a challenge a moment later.

There are grimaces of pain from both, but they shake it off.

A huge shift being put in by one and all right now.

The link-up between Archie Gray and Wilfried Gnonto leads to another Leeds corner.

Leicester labour to work the ball away from danger, but it ends with Stephy Mavididi again threatening to scamper away in broken play for Leicester.

Ed, London: Leeds players need to get longer studs in at half time. Slipping all over the place at the moment.

Sulaimon Adelekan: The difference between the two teams is that Leicester's attack has been sharper than Leeds United for one reason or the other. Brilliant game to watch, end to end.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February

    Wigan 0-1 Cheltenham

So far, so good for Cheltenham as they aim for a fourth straight League One win.

Matty Taylor's early strike is the only goal so far at the DW Stadium.

  14. 'Leeds struggling against pace'published at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February

    Leeds 0-1 Leicester

    Neil Redfearn
Former Leeds manager on BBC Radio Leeds

Rutter has little moments every now and again when he gets himself out of trouble with his quick feet.

He's so strong and difficult to dispossess. Leeds just need to get him doing it higher up the pitch.

He takes risks and gets caught with it sometimes but he gets Leeds up the pitch. The closer it is to Leicester's box, the more it's a genuine threat.

Leicester have pace all the way through the side. The full-backs and wingers are quick. Dewsbury-Hall has got a turn of pace and Winks is no slouch.

Leeds are struggling with it a little bit.

Will the hosts be able to peg the Foxes back before the break?

Wilfried Gnonto may have failed to make the most of that earlier chance, but he has sorted his radar out in recent times.

The Italian has scored five goals in his last five appearances in all competitions for Leeds. That’s as many as he netted in his first 52 games combined for the club. Staggering, really.

But (and yes, there is a but) all those goals have been away from home. The Italian last scored at Elland Road back in January 2023 against Cardiff in the FA Cup.

It would be a significant breakthrough if he could change that tonight.

You can't take your eyes off this for a second.

I said before the game that I didn't expect this to be high scoring but er... I think I've changed my mind.

Both teams look really dangerous when they break at pace, with both forced into some last-ditch interventions.

This table-topping clash is living up to expectations and then some so far.

  18. 'A perfect challenge'published at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February

What a challenge. It was a definite goal but Vestergaard timed his challenge perfectly.

We've not been disappointed so far by this game.

Leicester's Jannik Vestergaard comes up with the block of the night so far.

Crysencio Summerville was being 100% Crysencio Summerville and an absolute menace, but the Dutchman's fierce strike has once tall Dane standing in the way.

GOAL: Coventry 0-3 Prestonpublished at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February

    Bobby Thomas og (38 mins)

    When it rains, it pours...

Unless you're a Preston North End fan, that is!The visitors have extended their lead further, with Emil Riis - who scored the opener - supplying the assist for both the second and third goals.

This time Riis bursts into space on the left and whips in a low cross that Coventry defender Bobby Thomas, under pressure from Mads Frokjaer, can only turn into his own net on the run.
