  1. 'That had flames on it'published at 13:08 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

    Hull 1-0 West Brom

    Mike White
    Sports Reporter BBC Radio Humberside

    That had flames on it.

Extravagant from Fabio, he made it look effortless, but surely he is too far out to score there.

What a strike from the edge of the box.

The Tigers can go above the Baggies this afternoon.

  2. goal

GOAL: Hull 1-0 West Brompublished at 13:07 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

    Fabio Carvalho (34 mins)

A bolt out of nowhere and that is two in two games for Fabio Carvalho.

Hull win a corner and take it quickly short, Carvalho takes one touch on the edge of the box and unleashes a rocket of a strike inside the near corner that goes beyond Alex Palmer - who does get one hand on it - straight into the back of the net.

That really was a goal dripping in quality.

Liam Rosenior has seen his side win three games on the bounce on the road coming into this afternoon, but a home win today - and one that would take them above their opponents - would be something else.

Hull owner Acun Ilicali is in attendance today which adds an extra bit of motivation for the hosts - if they needed it.

So far they haven't quite got their forwards linking up and firing together.

  4. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Hull 0-0 West Brom

West Brom look dangerous on the counter so far. Keeper Alex Palmer releases Jed Wallace with a long throw and he races into acres of space down the field.

Jaden Philogene does really well though for the hosts and tracks back in earnest to clear the ball.

    Carlos CorberanImage source, PA Media

You'd imagine that Baggies boss Carlos Corberan will like most of what he's been seeing so far.

A win today would go down well with the club hierarchy, I'm sure, with the takeover by American businessman Shilen Patel set to be completed next week according to a club statement yesterday.

  6. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Hull 0-0 West Brom

Good chance for Hull now as Anass Zaroury tests Alex Palmer, who has looked a little nervy in the West Brom goal so far.

He strikes from distance but this time Palmer keeps it clear.

The goalkeepers really have been the stars of the show in the opening 25 minutes.

    Both ball players.

They have each made a decent save apiece.

  8. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20 mins

    Hull 0-0 West Brom

Out of nowhere, West Brom captain Jed Wallace rattles the woodwork for the best chance of the half from just a few yards out.

Alex Mowatt then tests Ryan Allsop's reactions by firing a volley on the rebound straight back at the goal, which he palms away.

    Mikey JohnstonImage source, PA Media

Good chance for West Brom as Mikey Johnston darts from midfield and cuts the opposite direction across the box - throwing Hull's defence off.

He gets a shot away but can't quite find the bottom corner and pulls his shot wide.

  10. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Hull 0-0 West Brom

We've had a shot, although it was pretty off-target.

Grady Diangana got picked out in a bit of space on the edge of the box but he catches the ball with the outside edge of his boot and curls it very wide from distance.

We've not had any shots yet from either side.

West Brom have so far done well at nullifying Hull's forwards.

  12. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Hull 0-0 West Brom

A nice attacking moment from West Brom as Conor Townsend unleashes Mikey Johnston down the left and he whips a ball back into the box.

Jacob Greaves is alert to the danger though and dives to head the ball clear.

  13. 'Both goalkeepers have taken risks so far'published at 12:41 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

    Hull 0-0 West Brom

    Tony 'Bomber' Brown
West Brom's all-time leading goalscorer on BBC Radio WM

You don't want your goalkeeper dribbling on the edge of the box.

No big chances but both goalkeepers have taken risks so far.

Cagey game so far, no side giving way at the moment.

I just want Albion to get into that possession game they had at Plymouth the other night.

  14. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Hull 0-0 West Brom

A little nervy moment from Alex Palmer in the West Brom goal, who doesn't quite gather a long ball back from Erik Pieters and ends up almost palming it straight into the path of Hull.

  15. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Hull 0-0 West Brom

All even so far from both sides, who are both operating without an out-an-out striker up front.

The sun is beaming down over this lunchtime, which makes a pleasant change after another wet winter week.

There was a nice moment just before kick-off too for the Tigers Jean Michael Seri, who came out onto the pitch solo to massive applause from the home fans in what is his first appearance at the MKM Stadium since returning to the club after winning the Africa Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast.

Seri has been speaking about his success to BBC Look North this week.

  17. Great expectations for City after Tuesday nightpublished at 12:34 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

    Hull 0-0 West Brom

    Peter Swan
Former Hull City player on BBC Radio Humberside

Can City live up to the expectations that have now risen after that victory on Tuesday night?

After that victory against the seemingly unbeatable, team to beat Southampton, these fans will expect that kind of performance again today.

Can they again extend their winning run?

They have won three of their last six at home.

  18. KICK-OFFpublished at 12:32 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

    Hull 0-0 West Brom

Here we go then, the whistle has been blown at the MKM Stadium and we're up and running.
