Like Hull, West Brom have enjoyed a largely consistent past few weeks - with defeat by Southampton a fortnight ago the only blot on an otherwise four-game unbeaten run.

The Baggies have sat in the top six consistently since early October but will be leapfrogged by their opponents if they're beaten.

West Brom fans can take some comfort from knowing their side have won seven of the last eight league meetings with Hull, although their away form is the worst of the teams currently in the top six.

The last month has been a good month for Liam Rosenior's Hull, with the team winning five of their six games to propel themselves back into the top six after a slump through December and January.

But it was their 2-1 win away at Southampton on Tuesday night – their third victory in a row – that really cemented their credentials as play-off contenders.

In-form on-loan duo Anass Zaroury – from Burnley – and Fabio Carvalho – from Liverpool – were both on target in the midweek win over Saints, and their arrivals in January has certainly given their attacking threat a new edge.

Before we get in to what's on the agenda today, we should really take a minute to reflect on a remarkable game at Elland Road last night.

Not too long ago it looked as if Leicester were going to canter away to the Championship title and an instant return to the Premier League.

But 2024 has seen a resurgent Leeds come charging up the table, and last night they produced a stunning late comeback to beat the league leaders 3-1 to move within six points of top spot.

The Foxes looked to be heading to a 1-0 victory before Connor Roberts levelled the scoreline in the 80th minute and then teenager Archie Gray nudged Leeds in front moments later. Patrick Bamford added the cherry on top in the 94th minute to give Leeds a ninth straight league win - handing Leicester a second defeat in a row to cut their lead a little further.

We're still 10 weeks away from the end of the season but in the race for the Championship top six, the game we're kicking off with this Saturday is a cracker as fifth-placed West Brom travel to sixth-placed Hull.

Now, we're not saying the top four in the table are set in stone, but Leicester, Leeds, Ipswich and Southampton currently have a 12-point cushion on the rest of the chasing pack in the race for promotion - a pack led in earnest by the Baggies and Tigers.

There's a bumper fixture list of Championship games to follow at 15:00 GMT too - so I suggest you put the kettle on, put your feet up and we'll guide you through all of today's action.
