  1. Thanks for tuning inpublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

    FT: Leicester 0-4 Chelsea

That's all from us on a busy day of Women's Super League action.

It feels a long time ago, but it all started with Arsenal winning the north London derby at a sold out Emirates Stadium.

There was a 10-goal thriller at Ashton Gate as Brighton beat relegation-threatened Bristol City 7-3.

And it finished with Chelsea putting four past Leicester as Catarina Macario - making her debut and playing her first game after spending 641 days recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury - scored to mark the perfect comeback.

Thanks for tuning in today - we'll be back in midweek with coverage of the Women's League Cup semi-finals, including Chelsea's game away to Manchester City.

For now, I'll leave you with Emily Salley's report on Chelsea's victory.

  2. 'Pleased with our progress as a team'published at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

    FT: Leicester 0-4 Chelsea

    Leicester City

Leicester City manager Willie Kirk speaking to Sky Sports: "I think the game changed on the second goal. Going in at half-time, it's hard for the players to understand positives at half-time. Once we weathered the storm, I thought we dominated for 25 minutes. We didn't capitalise on our chances. We knew in open play we could get joy. We knew Ramirez would give the centre-backs the hardest games of their lives, at 2-0 we were frustrated but no complaints second half."

Where for you did the game change?: "I think the second half, the fact it was 2-0 allowed it to be what it was. We were chasing, got desperate, you can understand the players wanting to get back. The second half is a consequence of the score line."

The first goal: "We probably had four chances to deal with that and you can't give Chelsea four opportunities to deal with the same chance. At 1-0 down, we could have been 1-0 up. It shows you how important it is to be ruthless. The second goal, we gave the ball away cheaply. You make it a big problem."

Pleased with team progression in general?: "I'm really happy with the way things are moving forward. Tonight, we didn't change anything and it's a good barometer of where are are."

Chelsea have scored in 14 of their 15 games, only Manchester United (15) have scored goals in more matches in the Women's Super League this season.

Chelsea have kept a clean sheet in seven of their 15 games, no team has done sp more in the WSL this season.

  4. 'I'm leaving you a superb player'published at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

    FT: Leicester 0-4 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea manager Emma Hayes speaking to Sky Sports: "Immensely proud, a lot of different players in the side. [Mayra] Ramirez showed her qualities, held the ball up, scored a good goal. Once we went 2-0 up, we controlled the game, really good performance."

How delighted were you for Catarina Macario?: "She hasn't played football for more than 600 days, she came to Chelsea not fit to play. For her to get this moment, I'm so immensely proud. She showed her quality, she's a super footballer and just what we need coming in to the run in. We're super proud."

Good relationship with her?: "I love her to bits, she's a great human. I knew bringing her to Chelsea we'd have to go backwards before going forwards. To the Chelsea fans, I'm leaving you a superb player, she's a world-class striker for a long-term."

Ramirez's strength?: "They're not fouls, they are just stronger. She's had to come into back-to-back games, slowly settling and showed her quality today. [Nathalie] Bjorn got her first goal today too."

Pleasing at the start of a busy run?: "Go home, rest, recover. A good night's sleep. I don't get too fazed with it, we have to get ready for a game with Manchester City. I'm just really proud of the young players and the new players."

  5. 'Emma Hayes will be wanting to win the Champions League this season'published at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

    FT: Leicester 0-4 Chelsea

    Chloe Hudson-Jones
Ex-Leicester and Aston Villa defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

I think if Emma Hayes prioritised, it would be the league title and a Champions League, that will be a very successful one. It's hard to prioritise, because she wants to win every game. If she can get her hands on one right now, it would be the Champions League.

  6. 'A dream come true'published at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

    FT: Leicester 0-4 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea striker Catarina Macario speaking to Sky Sports: "That was really run. Finally I'm able to be back on the pitch and it was a dream come true, not only to be back from injury but to play for Chelsea for the first time.

Pleased to score so early?: "Honestly, shout out to Fran [Kirby] and Aggie [Beever-Jones], Fran said 'Cat, go for it'. Aggie played a great ball in, I've been working on that and got a little bit of luck.

Emma Hayes' support?: "Emma has been tremendous, she's been so supportive through this time, not pressuring me to come back. No one wants to come into a club being injured. I couldn't ask for a better manager. I attribute the success to her."

Coming on at 3-0 up?: "It kind of depends on how it comes the girls did a great job just focusing on the game, the girls on the bench told me to have fun. Even though there were a few [loose] touches, it was good to be back."

Emma Hayes welcomed you back for club and country?: "She did, she said how lucky Chelsea and the United States are to have me back. Hopefully I can make an impact for both teams."

How has your recovery been?: "Obviously there's so much you can control, considering I've been out for 21 months, I've been able to focus on what makes Cat the person happy and what makes me happy as a player and make me perform better. Chelsea have supported me a lot, my teammates have been tremendous and I'm super lucky to have them."

Ex-Leicester and Aston Villa defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Sometimes, when you play against a top, top team like Chelsea, one goal can change everything. It would have been a different game if Leicester took their chances. They struggled in the second half and it's happened too many times this season.

It's between Manchester City and Chelsea, for me Man City are still the favourites and the in-form team, but they have Ramirez now who caused problems tonight.

  11. 'Macario deserved her goal'published at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

    FT: Leicester 0-4 Chelsea

    Chloe Hudson-Jones
Ex-Leicester and Aston Villa defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It shows the team spirit. All of her teammates will see how much work she has put in to get back. Your first game back, you've got nerves. She clearly coped with it really well, an excellent goal and she clearly deserves it for the work she has put in.

Emma Hayes hugs Cararina Macario, she spends a long time embracing her. The rest of her Chelsea teammates do the same.

She last played a game of football 641 days ago. It took her just 5 minutes 11 seconds to score on her Chelsea debut.

What a night for the United States forward.

    Leicester 0-4 Chelsea

    Chloe Hudson-Jones
Ex-Leicester and Aston Villa defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

I've been at a lot of Leicester games this season. They compete for 45 minutes, but after that it tends to die out. Willie Kirk will need to unpick this, but that's an area they need to work on if they are to be an established mid-table side.

    Oooh!

Maika Hamano is slotted in perfectly by Catarina Macario, who takes it past two defenders with great dribbling, but her teammate fires wide.

It's great to see Denny Draper, it's just unfortunate the circumstances she's coming in to. It was great to see her score in the win over Bristol City before the international break.

  19. Postpublished at 87 mins

The game has really died down. It's petering out towards a comfortable Chelsea victory.

Chelsea have got the quality, but it is all about the consistency now. You want players performing right at their peaks for when players are coming back from injuries.
