    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall on Beth Mead starting: "We have a very competitive squad and I think she has some really good qualities that I think are going to be useful at the start of this game, so that's why.

On Manuela Zinsberger starting in goal: "Sabrina D'Angelo is away with the Gold Cup representing Canada there, but Manu has been doing very well there in practice and I think she's going to do great there today.

On Leah Williamson being in the squad after injury: "We have done incredible work, both the players and the staff to get so many of them ready today because during the international break we had quite a [few] question marks, Leah was one of them and she couldn't travel with England but she's done really, really well. Making the matchday squad, be able to come on from the bench, it's incredible.

On back-to-back sell-outs at the Emirates Stadium: "I think it means a lot to the whole community, to our supporters. The things that we can achieve together. We have had some really special moments so far this season and let's try our best to create something more special today.

Is the game must-win in the quest to chase down Manchester City?: "I think every game is a must-win and especially the next game that we have in front of us and that is always our aim, to try and win football matches, so let's try our very best to do that as well.

Former England defender on BBC Two

Arsenal definitely have a depleted squad but they have enough quality in the staring line-up to deliver today if they get all the elements right. What has cost them is the nine points they have dropped to mid-table teams earlier in the season. Hopefully they won't be kicking themselves by the end of the season.

Tottenham boss Robert Vilahamn said his side are "taking steps" towards being a better team and proved that with their 1-0 victory over the Gunners on home soil earlier this season.

"To beat them again would be really nice and show the world that we are taking even more steps. But then also it's going to be a really tough game," Vilahamn said.

The Spurs manager was full of praise for 20-year-old Grace Clinton, who scored on her England debut in the international break.

"I think her journey has been amazing. We saw a glimpse of it in the first weeks when she was here and I think every week we are seeing more and more stuff that makes it clear that she is going to be a very good player," he said.

"She's already playing for the Lionesses and can score goals, win free-kicks, win second balls, she can do stuff. I'm very pleased with that. We're very happy to have her here right now."

  4. 'We have the potential'published at 12:24 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

Arsenal boss Jonas Eidevall sat down with the BBC earlier this week to discuss all things derby day, playing at the Emirates and pushing on in the league.

Looking forward to derby? "A lot. Every time we go to the Emirates it’s phenomenal. Last game with the engagement from the crowd and also the performance from the team has been phenomenal. We look forward to another good occasion here on Sunday."

Want more games at Emirates/bigger ground? "The long term plan is to play more and more games at the Emirates. How soon and how quickly you can execute that plan, there is a lot of practice going into that. There is no doubt the demand is there and that’s great to see."

Sustained title challenge? "We have the potential but it’s up to us. This season we have shown the heights at numerous occasions but we haven’t shown the consistency in our performances. That’s what we need to do. This block we are coming into is going to be really important for us to do that and it starts here on Sunday."

Feel pressure to push on? "I feel it’s really important that we realise our potential and make the most out of it. We always want to win then we always feel pressure but my view on that is it’s a privilege to represent this football club, to play games that matter to us and other people. Let’s enjoy and make the most out of it."

Former England midfielder on BBC Two

Arsenal are still in with a shout. They still have to play the top two teams so if they go unbeaten from now until the end of the season, the trophy is there.

But no team has won the WSL after losing three games in the season so they’ll have to beat the history.

Arsenal captain Kim Little on the Women's Football Weekly podcast

I’ve spoken a lot about it [playing at the Emirates] being sustainable and having the right path to getting all of our games there and taking those right steps to make sure it is sustainable. We’re selling all the tickets and we’ve got people who are coming and they want to come back.

I think that’s really important and it’s an important model across the game in general. We’ve shown this year that it’s doable and there’s this want for it and it’s entertaining.

I’ve been at the club a long time and playing in a big stadium is all new and the pitch is incredible. It does add to your experience as a player and I do love it when we are playing there.

Arsenal captain Kim Little on the Women's Football Weekly podcast

We felt like we let ourselves down in certain moments. We won against Chelsea but then we lost against Spurs and that wasn’t helpful at all.

But when you know you can go up against the top teams and the ones who are in form and get results, you know you can get those points on the board and you can win any game.

There have been moments where we changed the mindset and that is going to be important into this last stretch.

  11. 'We know we can beat them' - Vilahamnpublished at 12:14 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

    Arsenal v Tottenham (12:30 GMT)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham head coach Robert Vilahamn on making three changes and Beth England being on the bench: "I think Jessica Naz coming in and playing as a nine, she has very good pace, she's been playing really well against Arsenal in the other games we have played. She gives us a threat, and also out of possession, a speed that we need. That's the main thing, that's why Beth is on the bench because I want to play Jess as a nine.

How did England take the news?: "Of course she was disappointed when she found out yesterday, but she's so professional and she's been around for so many years that she understands it. The team comes first and she was great today with the girls, so having her around the team is still good.

On Grace Clinton: "She's doing it so quickly, right? She's already a superstar, she's already starting for the national team now. I think she's already here to show the world that she's a superstar and she's a great character as well, giving an energy and adapting to different roles. She plays left side, six, eight, ten - eight and ten especially in the national team now, so I'm impressed by her.

What he wants to see today?: "Bravery. I want to make sure we come here and play our style, try to compete. We know we can beat them, we know how to beat them so we are very focussed, very present to defend well and take the chances we get because we're playing against a really good team.

Confidence from beating them earlier this season?: "It does, because we knew in the Conti Cup we had a good game and at the home stadium, we won against them so we know that we can do it and I have a lot of belief in the players and the players we have on the bench is really good today as well coming in can change the game as well. We have a good belief today,

A blow for Arsenal this week as striker Vivianne Miedema is set for "several weeks" on the sidelines after undergoing "minor knee surgery", said manager Jonas Eidevall.

Miedema returned to Arsenal on Tuesday, missing the Netherlands' Women's Nations League game against Germany.

She started their defeat by Spain last Friday, but Eidevall said "she would have needed the surgery anyway".

Women's Super League record goalscorer Miedema only returned from an anterior cruciate ligament injury in October.

    Arsenal v Tottenham (12:30 GMT)

After a shock defeat by West Ham and being knocked out of the FA Cup by Manchester City in February, Arsenal recorded a 3-1 win over Manchester United before the break.

They are three points off the top but have lost three times in the league and no team has ever lost more than two games and won the title.

One of those three defeats came against Spurs, who won 1-0 in December. However they haven't won in the past three league games.

Arsenal have got themselves back on track, Spurs will want to correct their form in the league. Will they pull off another unexpected win today?
