Manchester United haven't had a shot since the 23rd minute.

Goalscorer Marcus Rashford is replaced by Antony. He scored a screamer to give United the lead but had some not-so-good moments after that.

For a couple of minutes, Manchester United assistant manager Steve McClaren was very visually tapping the top of his head and pointing towards the visitors goal.

In the end, United keeper Andre Onana went down citing cramp. It was the trigger for a number of players to go to Erik ten Hag for instruction.

Onana has been able to continue.

It's almost a decade since United lost a Premier League game after leading at half-time.

Phil Foden has only scored more Premier League goals against Brighton (six) than Manchester United (five).

Oh look Andre Onana is fine. Andy Madley drops the ball to him and play restarts.

Andre Onana goes down. Referee Andy Madley looks like he's not believing this is an injury and takes the ball off Onana. The keeper asks for the physios on though so Madley has to let that happen.

Jon: yes maybe it wasn’t a foul on Rashford but City have been given so many soft free-kicks no worse than that one, so obviously they were going to score straight after the referee ignored one for United.

Andrew: Walker on Rashford is the kind of soft contact that maybe gets given if the attacking player is 60-yards from goal. No referee is going to give that (and have to subsequently send a defender off) 30-yards from goal, nor should he. Rashford should have stayed on his feet.

Phil Foden's cross is headed down by Bernardo Silva but it's above Erling Haaland's head. But City come again. United are penned in.

Phil Foden's corner is delayed as the referee speaks to Nathan Ake and Andre Onana, who are pushing and shoving. The corner comes to nowt when it is taken.

It's a very different vibe now at the Etihad. City will be confident of pushing on for all three points.
