A first shot from Getafe and that has got the crowd going!

Mason Greenwood cuts in from the right and fires in a fierce shot from just inside the penalty area.

It looks like Andriy Lunin gets a hand on it to turn past the near post but a goal kick is given.

Replays show that was the right decision, the ball clipped the outside of the post.

More attacking intent from Getafe to start the second period but still no shot.

With Antonio Rudiger having gone off, Aurelien Tchouameni has slotted into centre-back for Real Madrid with Eduardo Camavinga taking his place in midfield.

Eduardo Camavinga has been out doing a fairly strenuous warm-up at half-time and he is on for Antonio Rudiger.

Needless to say, Getafe need to offer more in the second half and manager Jose Bordalas agrees.

He makes three changes with Djene Dakonam, Jose Angel Carmona and Domingos Duarte off, Juanmi Latasa, Jordi Martin and Diego Rico are on.

These Opta stats won't do much to elicit optimism from any Getafe fans...

Not a thriller so far at the Coliseum. Real Madrid started well, got themselves in front through Joselu and have been comfortable ever since.

Getafe have been reasonably organised but have managed a grand total of zero shots.

Getafe have offered very little as an attacking threat but have a spell of possession in the Real Madrid half late on.

However, the visitors very nearly work it to their advantage as a long ball over the top has Joselu interested.

He's beaten to it by David Soria but, having come flying out of his area, the goalkeeper makes a mess of an attempted header.

Joselu gets to it first but Getafe have enough defenders in the vicinity to block the shot. That's the last action of the first half.

We're into three minutes of injury time at the end of the first half.

We've got another stoppage, this time because Joselu has stayed down.

Real Madrid are not happy a free-kick wasn't given or that play was allowed to continue for another 30 seconds or so before Getafe kicked the ball out.

No harm done, though, as the striker is up and fine to continue.

Antonio Rudiger is back out there and is going to try and run it off.

It will be interesting to see if he re-emerges for the second half.

Antonio Rudiger has been limping a bit since a challenge with Mason Greenwood a few minutes ago and it looks like he is going to have to come off.

He's down and receiving treatment. Eduardo Camavinga is warming up.

Joselu almost has his second!

It's the same combination that produced the goal, Lucas Vazquez down the right and this tme the full-back cuts a low ball back to the edge of the box.

Joselu comes onto it but his firm shot is pushed wide by David Soria.

Real Madrid are almost in again and it's another ball over the top.

Jude Bellingham it is bursting into the box this time but the ball runs away from him and the angle becomes too tight for a shot.

He turns back and tries to pick out Joselu but Getafe have men back and are able to intercept.

Another promising attack comes to nothing but you get the sense that, after a bit of a breather, Real Madrid are starting to move through the gears again.

With Getafe pressing high again, Real Madrid opt to go over the top with Luka Modric finding Lucas Vazquez down the right.

Los Blancos work the ball into the box before Jude Bellingham lays it off for Federico Valverde, whose shot is always rising and sails over the bar.

We've got another booking as Ferland Mendy catches Damian Suarez as the pair go in for a 50-50 inside the Real Madrid half.

Getafe can't make anything of the free-kick, though. The away side have been very comfortable for the most part so far.

Djene Dakonam is late with his tackle on Aurelien Tchouameni and ends up standing on the Real Madrid midfielder's foot.

That earns him the first yellow card of the match and from the subsequent free-kick, Jude Bellingham surges forward to win a corner.

It's played short but Luka Modric then overhits the cross. Goal kick.

Getafe are pressing Real Madrid high up the pitch and have done so pretty successfully in the last few minutes with the visitors struggling to play out from the back as they'd like.

It's all been a bit scrappy since the goal with neither side really able to create anything of note or even string more than a couple of passes together.

A first moment of note for Jude Bellingham but it's not a positive one.

His wayward pass goes out for a Getafe corner. Thankfully for the Englishman, it is comfortably cleared.
