  1. HALF-TIME - Morton 1-0 Motherwellpublished at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February

Well, it's Championship side Morton who go into the sheds in front.

It's deserved too. George Oakley hit the bar, before Robbie Muirhead's corner ended up going in off Motherwell's Harry Paton.

It's set up beautifully for the second half. File this one under 'proper old fashioned cup tie'.

    Morton 1-0 Motherwell

Even after one million replays, it's not entirely clear who got that goal.

I'm pretty sure it is off Motherwell midfielder Harry Paton after an attempted punch by Liam Kelly.

    Morton don't care.

Not a soul around me cares. They're buzzing.

    Terrible moment from Motherwell.

Poor goalkeeping from the Motherwell captain and the home crowd are starting to believe a little bit more.

    Harry Paton (own goal)

    The breakthrough!

It's another nightmare for Motherwell goalkeeper Liam Kelly.

Robbie Muirhead swings a corner in and Kelly flaps at the ball, pushing it off Paton and into the net.

Morton have edged this first half and now have the lead!

    Morton 0-0 Motherwell

There's the first apology on Sportscene for fruity language over the mics at Cappielow.

Can't believe it's taken half an hour.

Anyway, Iain Wilson stops Blair Spittal picking up the ball on the edge of the Morton box.

It is a very competitive game.

There are very few moments for the players in the middle of the park to get their breath.

  10. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Morton 0-0 Motherwell

George Oakley is fuming as he's penalised for a foul.

It's obvious why Morton are so strong at home, they're playing with a lot of intensity.

It's getting feisty as well, as Davor Zdravkovski scythes down Morton's Robbie Crawford.

This is class. What an atmosphere.

I'm usually always freezing at Cappielow - and I am - but this place is bouncing and is making it a lot more manageable.

Cannae no love the Scottish Cup, eh?

That was a massive opportunity for Morton and George Oakley.

I do think that should have been in the back of the net.

    So close for Morton!

A flick on finds George Oakley in the box and he tries to lift the ball over Liam Kelly, but it comes back off the bar!

    Good goalkeeping from Ryan Mullen.

Harry Paton whips a dangerous ball in from the left, and as Darragh O'Conner goes to head it, he gets a shout from Mullen who takes it.

  15. CLOSE!published at 12 mins

    Morton 0-0 Motherwell

It's a good, close game so far. As we'd expect.

Motherwell defender Bevis Mugabi almost found space at the back post to prod home.

Morton now have it down the other end after a good run from George Oakley.

A corner comes in and Cameron Blues flicks it into the six-yard box. It caused a bit of panic but Motherwell survive.

    Morton 0-0 Motherwell

Dearie me, Motherwell keeper Liam Kelly lets a harmless free kick slip through his fingers!

He's very lucky it doesn't fall to a Morton player. It's not been a vintage season from Kelly as he tries to earn a place in Scotland's Euro 2024 squad.

It is very difficult to call. Both sides are in good form.

Morton go into this game full of belief and confidence that they can turn over the top-flight side here.
