  1. Postpublished at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Sunderland 0-1 Leicester

Sunderland's play-off hopes will fade with every result like this one so finding a way back into the game in the second half is paramount.

They'll certainly need to do more in attack, having had two shots with just one on target in the opening 45.

Such a lack of threat means Leicester can sit comfortably for now, but they too only converted one of their nine chances.

  2. Postpublished at 20:49 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Ipswich 0-0 Bristol City

The home fans are trying to urge their team on but Ipswich are being really well held back by Bristol City so far.

Every time they've tried to go forward the last few minutes, they've ended up having to pass backwards.

Omari Hutchinson then breaks into the box but his pass gets intercepted.

The two best players in each squad for me are the number 17's. The number 17 for Ipswich... Ed Sheeran.

    Great player.

  5. Postpublished at 20:45 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Ipswich 0-0 Bristol City

Joe Williams goes down under a challenge from Sam Morsy and the Bristol City midfielder isn't happy about it as he gets some treatment on the pitch and there's a slight break in play.

A couple of minutes to go until half-time at Portman Road.

    #bbcefl

With no teams in the bottom half of the table winning at half-time, there's been little change.

    Four points separate eight sides.

Rock bottom Rotherham are 4-0 down at Coventry and toast.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:41 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Ipswich 0-0 Bristol City

Don't rule Bristol City out of this one at all.

There's a bit of a lull and out of nowhere the visitors whip the ball across the pitch to Harry Cornick, who gets a cross into the box to Nahki Wells.

Ipswich keeper Vaclav Hldaky has to react quickly and dive to keep it from going in.

  8. 'The crowd were silenced'published at 20:39 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    HT: Sunderland 0-1 Leicester

    Steve Howard
Former Leicester striker on BBC Radio Leicester

Sunderland aren't pressing at all. They have a game plan not to do a high press - that is suiting Leicester. It's a frustrating game for the spectator to watch but it's in Leicester's favour.

    Leicester are in control.

The crowd were silenced straight away after the goal and you have to do that at the Stadium of Light. The Sunderland fans are desperate for success and they can get on your back.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Coventry 4-0 Rotherham

Every time that Coventry go forward, they look like they can score.

This game is certainly helping the confidence of hat-trick scorer Ellis Simms.

  10. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Ipswich 0-0 Bristol City

    So close for Ipswich!

They whip a corner into the box and Kieffer Moore gets a touch on it to flick it on to Conor Chaplin, who is completely unmarked at the far post.

He dives and gets a head to it but the angle is a bit tight and it bounces back off the post.

The best chance of the half so far.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Hull 1-0 Birmingham

Hull deserve their one-goal advantage in this match, but it did come somewhat controversially.

It was Ozan Tufan, who spun cleverly from a corner to put the ball into the net, but replays suggested it may have come off his arm.

The Turkish international midfielder has also hit the post.

Birmingham have had a goal ruled out for offside and have pressed with more urgency as the game has gone on.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Sunderland 0-1 Leicester

Jamie Vardy's goal is the difference at half-time and it has given Leicester a bit of breathing space at the top of the table.

Sunderland have been better in their approach and tried to test Leicester but not a lot for Mads Hermansen to do.

Leeds might be lurking behind the Foxes with their result so far against Stoke, but it's enough to keep the buffer as it was pre-game.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Leeds 1-0 Stoke

Dan James celebrates scoringImage source, Rex Features

Leeds United, impervious at home this season, are continuing in that vein with a 1-0 half-time lead against a dogged Stoke City at Elland Road.

Dan James smashed brilliantly past Daniel Iversen, having been involved in a personal duel with the Potters keeper beforehand.

Stoke have had their moments for all their league table struggles, but Ilian Meslier has been equal so far, notably foiling Lewis Baker with a spectacular save.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Plymouth

All square at the break at Hillsborough.

Ian Poveda did get the ball in the net for Sheffield Wednesday but it was ruled out for offside.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Blackburn 0-0 Millwall

An evenly-matched game with few clear chances for either side.

Tyrhys Dolan has been the most exciting player on the pitch so far, cutting inside and shooting on one occasion and trying to bring other Blackburn players into the game.

Zian Flemming hit the side-netting with Millwall's best opening.

  16. Postpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Ipswich 0-0 Bristol City

Ipswich might have 44 goals at Portman Road this season - the best of any club at home in the Championship - they haven't quite got firing tonight yet.

Kieffer Moore's earlier effort is the only shot on target of the game so far.

    30 minutes gone in tonight's sole 20:00 kick-off.

  17. Postpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Hull 1-0 Birmingham

As you can see from the table in the last post, if Hull can hold onto this lead they will have a nice little buffer of four points to Norwich City, who are immediately below them in seventh place in the table.

After opening the scoring earlier, midfielder Ozan Tufan has struck a shot against the post.

Birmingham's Tyler Roberts had the ball in the back of the net a moment ago, but the offside flag was raised.

  19. CLOSE!published at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Leeds 1-0 Stoke

Ilian Meslier has to be alert to keep Leeds ahead, launching himself skywards to tip away a vicious arcing strike by Lewis Baker for Stoke.

The corner almost gives the Potters a chance, but it's to no avail.

    Little reminder of Stoke's presence.

  20. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Ipswich 0-0 Bristol City

Ipswich captain Sam Morsy does really well to outmuscle Ross McCrorie and take the ball off him in midfield.

He passes through to an oncoming Kieffer Moore who gets through on goal but despite the rings of 'shooot' around the stadium his effort goes straight at Max O'Leary for a relatively comfortable save.
